Wouldnt make any difference if they paid 12m more in a fee and Barca gave it to FDJ or if they paid 12m less.

Would guess likes of Man Utd want Barca to pay him any deferral for example rather than having players there who point to his 12m inflated signing on fee or salary.

Wammy, there is clearly other significant criteria at play with this award otherwise Messi would surely have won it more than Sergi Roberto and Bojan Krkic, but I see that all 3 are tied at having won it once each.:lol:

Sure Frenk deserves a flower for his win, but let's not act like he deserves a full bunch of roses and a box of Milk Tray, eh?

Yes as said Messi is the best player.. but it is based on performances above all else.

Feel free to say whay Yamal/MATS ect got it last couple seasons based on 'fair play'.

Lets play a game and predict near end of season who gets it.. I will base on performances.. anyone else can base off of 'fair play'. Lets see who is more accurate.

His annual salary is less than Gundo and less than half Lewandowskis this season.

The issue for Barca is the deferral and it adds to an around 10m a year amortisation currently.

With him taking up that space on salary it makes sense for them to renew or move on but they way have behaved makes that more difficult would think.

They will try to lower the fee to offer up more options and also he is currently injured.

Same with Araujo.. they would have been starting to ask for less for him than initially if had not renewed. Even now they may sell him if got reasonable offer.

There was never one credible source to say, that Zubi wants to join Barcelona. People need to let him go, not everyone wants to join our club.

We don't know if he is not interested today though. The only thing we know is Barcelona is not interested in paying the buyout clause upfront for Zubimendi.

The priorities have changed since Xavi has left.

These players need to be brought collectively in and presented with offers take it or leave it. Way too many problems that are blamed on COVID, previous board or Putin.

Fuck that and stop treating Barca as a charity for people who don't need one.

They've all been offered new contracts and to a man, they've all basically said, "we'll leave it"

Stick to the contract we've got and leave for free when it experiences

No. Just don't play them or whatever. There are tons of ways to persuade people. There needs to be a code of behaviour. If they cannot accept some lower wages while the club is in peril, then treat them as scum they are.

Once you establish certain set of expectations and a code of conduct then everyone else follows more easily and with sense of purpose.

Playing X player that got insane wages prior covid alongside Y player that is on peanuts and treating them equally and celebrating them in club official social media like preteen girls is beyond shameful.

I agree with the sentiment, wholeheartedly.

But with contracts not much we can do, it will open a can of worms too big to deal with.

He will go for free, but better than selling him on peanuts to those fuckers and being humiliated again.
Never sell to EPL under 80 mil. Not even Ferran Torres. They buy on insane amounts every mediocre from England, demand big money on them, but themselves expect other non epl fco or fc to give them players for free cuz they play in "lower leagues".
80 mil is good price, we pay his leftover salary from that sum.
Barcelona should send them "80 or fuck off"

EPL internal market is both inflated and gaming the FFP measure though.

You want to see how they do it outside of England. Look at Gallagher to Atleti (1 year on contract) and the Samu to Chelsea deals and fees.

But at the same time, they keep wages controllable unlike us.

FDJ is a 30 mil player in academy, not in his prime.
This will be another humiliation because we want to buy the next hype or release some contracts.
Sell him to Bayern or Atletico on peanuts if we are so desperate, at least they can stop Real. United makes no sense.

They wont stick the likes of FDJ/Araujo or Pedri/Gavi/Christ/Yamal in stands if reject contracts.

It serves no real purpose but weakening team and any fee may get for them before expires.

Same argument why they were never going to do it with Dembele either.

Would be a new level of amateur hour.

Yeah, it serves no purpose but aligning the players against the club.
There is a reason it rarely happens, and when it does it is usually a much lower level player
