Speaking of Van Persie, is the dude finished? Did anyone follow him at Feyenoord this year?

Kind of forgot about him but couldn't he have done a job for us for half a year? From what I've heard he'll retire at the end of the season but he has decent enough stats: 10 goals and 3 assists in 15 matches.

His ambition is to retire at Feyenoord this year (as he announced it is his last), to live in Holland and to gradualy roll into a coaching job, ideally starting at Varkenoord (Feyenoord's youth academy).

He has no wish at all to play for another club in his last year, for obvious reasons.

He is doing fine footballing wise, sometimes we see little flashes of the old Van Persie. But yeah, he is not the same anymore.
He is still the best striker in the Dutch league though, but he lost so much pace and agility that he doesn't fit in every tactic/lineup.
Besides, he's always been a little injury prone. At his current age it's starting to become more and more of a problem. He also doesn't train every day anymore.

Paris United: "According to FFP, a club's wage bill must not exceed 70% of its income. But Barca's is 81%. However, the club has never been punished by UEFA. The reason remains a mystery... As a recent example with De Jong, it was impossible for PSG to compete with Barca's offer due to FFP."

Is this ("According to FFP, a club's wage bill must not exceed 70% of its income") actually true? I thought we have been over 70% for years.

looooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

According to that same report Porto and Galatasaray are also breaching FFP rules from PU's viewpoint. But obviously no mention of that.

The salt coming from all the tears I'm drinking is dehydrating me, dawg.

What a bunch of salty bitches. Poor PSG they weren't able to compete with bad ol' Uefalona. These delusional fucks don't have any self awareness whatsoever. They've spent 400m in one summer ffs.

And then they speak about the shite MD and Sport print every other day, like Nasser's slaves in the press are the epitome of profesionalism. Case in point Jair Ventura's and Lutece's bible "Paris United". Bush league club really. How anyone can support Qatar FC is beyond me.

Edit: just read the first reply and it destroyed their moaning in one swoop. Failure is spread in everything related with that club FFS.

Also not going to lie it's funny seeing Paris United being salty.

Everything they post comes off as them being arrogant and smug as hell. Just about as bad as a number of media journalists such as Gerard Romero.

The best part of that entire post is them using this image to drive home their point:

Sans-titre4.png

And referring to PAYROLL in their article while the graph highlights TOTAL STAFF COSTS

This is what the ACTUAL report says in regards to that graph:

KPMG said:
FC Barcelona the
biggest spender in Staff costs among
any sports team. The main reasons for
this are the contract renewal of, among
others, Lionel Messi, new signings made
over the transfer windows, and bonuses
paid on such contracts
.

Literally doesn't even acknowledge the payroll lmao

PSG, media and fans have taken so many L's this week, that article from PU summarizes the amount of salt and tears have been generated.

Staff costs (81%) refer to all costs for staff, where wages are only a part of it. We are not above 70% of revenue in wages.

Keep taking them L's dawg.

Imagine if PSG got Frenkie for 75m+ add ons then we had rumours we were after Allan for 100m. Ouch that’s got to hurt.

Any idea what all the items constitute staff costs are? Wage and player values as you said before? What else?

It's Paris United just grasping at straws at this point.

They still can't comprehend PSG got beaten to the signing of FDJ, after them always posting articles about how PSG are going to tie up the FDJ transfer every week this month. They post that we are cheating and that there's no way PSG could beat our offer because of FFP issues.

Not like PSG's offer was weak going by the rumors. Paris United is trying to make it look like they were offering only 50 million or some shit.

+1 The price was always 75m and we got him for that +11m add ons. Some PSG fans trying to claim we overpaid, like they were only offering much lower than that. If they’d have got him for the same price as we did they’d be rubbing it in our faces... all this stuff afterwards is just salt and butthurt. Will be even more salt if his wages aren’t as high as some websites claimed as that would be the only thing they could hold against the transfer.
