unfortunately these are the footballing times we're living in. every above decent young player that appears on the market is over-hyped and overvalued. pogba, grealish, havertz etc.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
And then this board would complain about him giving canned answers...

The guy has an opinion or worded it in a way you didn't want, big deal.

De Light finds? For him, just questions arise. And not only the fans of Barcelona. Rud Gullit criticized the game of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. “It is believed that if he plays poorly, it is because he is not playing in his position. But wherever he is in midfield, he plays poorly. De Jong always has to give something more; he walks with the ball from the depths, does a few feints, and that's it. This way he will only be able to give a few good passes ”

As time goes by, it seems that two best midfielders in the world Frenkie and Arthur will have a similar career path.

From insane overhype to being squad players at Barca, Juve, Tottenham in 2 years.

I'll call it: he is gone in a year or two if he'll continue to be an absolute non factor.

We'll cash on him.
He is way too expensive for what he is contributing except endless running.

Unlike Arthur a top team will sign him where he'll be an integral part of their midfield.

Why don't you talk about your homeboy the 160m man Coutinho? BBZ8800

He's basically a decent player with nice technique at the moment and that's it. Needs to be more involved. In some people's heads he deserves to be at a better club or whatever but he also needs to step up.

Ruud Gullit said as much this week too.

Can't see him play anywhere except Bayern.

City? No
Liverpool? No

Maybe some chaotic club like Man Utd.

As time goes by, it is clearer that it is not club's problem, but Frenkie.

He was a system player in Ajax team who were on fire.

Take him out of Ajax and he is another Arda or any player from Atletico.

His only virtues are endless running and getting the ball from his own half.
He is dead/useless in the opponent's half when we have the ball.
Plus, he has zero attacking instincts and his defending is very questionable both marking, heading and positioning wise.

For 3 years he is an absolute non factor in any big match.

If anything I think he would suit the likes of Liverpool perfectly. Just someone who will run a lot and have some decent runs in the box from time to time.
