Doesn't address the elephant in the room of who rotates with Busquets though. Unless Xavi thinks Kessie has potential there.

Agree this is the kind of debate we should be having.

Definitely need someone to rotate with busquets, I hope xavi doesn't see Kessi as his backup.

Terrible logic... Pedri was not better than FDJ last season and this season he is one of few who suits playing AM.

Gavi been better for Spain where gets more freedom than was in latter half of last season.

FDJ has been better in last two seasons than Gavi was this season anyway.

Neither of them are playing out of position in a role impacted by Busquets as much as FDJ.

Ignoring his crazed Puig delusion, he touches on a good point unintentionally (although he just meant to say all of them are dogshit except Puig and Busquets).

Our midfield, despite the quality it has, is not winning us games. In a lot of games it has been overrun and far from effective, with the biggest contributors to our good form in fact being the budget front line (Ferran-Auba-Dembele).
It shouldn't be that way when we have Pedri/FDJ/Gavi which is seen as probably the most talented midfield crop in football. We shouldn't be losing midfield battles to much inferior teams on paper.

But what are the causes? I would say Xavi and Busquets are the main reasons.

I agree with you there. Xavi's setup and Busquets' lack of athleticism and frankly being a poor defensive midfielder doesn't help.

Busquets good on the ball, but cannot run, cannot cover anyone, cannot help out the backline.
