Dunno if Bale could replace Ronaldo but was the closest thing to him in the PL. Whilst i agree with the popular opinion that Reus has an all round better level of general play and is technically better than bale, for pure match winning moments and goals out of nothing i feel Bale is far superior in that regard. At madrid to a certain extent but more so Spurs some of the goals he scored out of nothing was unrivalled by any player i have seen play in the premier league in the last 10 years. He was pulling off 30/40 year screamers and length of the pitch dribbles then finishing them on a weekly basis and even doing it more than one occasion in a game.

So far, yeah, he scored very important goals for Madrid.
