Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale has only a fraction of Cristiano's talent. His technique and first touch are awful and I think that both Özil and Di Maria are better players. I say bring him in,we shall not be afraid of him.

It's quite simple actually, I belive we played pretty bad this season, statical, slow, without movement in attack, no pressing and everything we basically concluded on this forum...so if we were to change that, if we were to improve (that more or less means new coach, sorry Tito) we would be 30-40% stronger if we don't bring anyone. That's how high I rate our players. If we change that and add some new blood, I would take Neymar, cause he is young, talented, good dribbler etc. but if we stay like this year than Bale would fit us more. Just rewind game vs Bayern, and imagine nothing changed in our game. If we hade Bale he would be able to shoot from distance, make drilling runs, causing Bayern defence trouble, imagine him scoring for 0:1, this would mean completly different game. Now imagine Neymar in our current form, he would be stuck and isolated on wing, dancing around ball, trying to dribble past 4 players...not adding anything new.

A bit overstated.

Has anybody ever seen a footballer who has consistently scored screamers from outside the box as Bale has the last few months? They're often very important goals as well. I think people here are bit too dismissive of Bale just because he's British and is the new Premier League icon. He does have his limitations as a player but what he has been doing the last few months is remarkable.

CR7 is worlds above Bale. Bale couldn't dream of hitting the heights of CR7 07/08 and 11/12. But still, he's a fantastic player.

People just choose to ignore the fact CR7 has been playing with World class players around him who do benefit his type of game and Bale what he has around in midfield compared to CR7's time at United and Madrid?

Come think of it. IF this guy gets a Xabi-Ozil or Scholes-Giggs to support his type of game what he can achieve.

Whoever thinks he is overrated is deluded tbh.

I don't think Bale fits into Madrid either. He's exactly the player like Cronaldo, who likes to take shots everywhere, ignoring team mates and other means of creating goals, mostly. Now if Bale moves to Madrid, he will be competing from the same overall amount of total shots created as Cronaldo, which doesn't improve the game at all. It would be funny though to see them give hissy fits to each other every time other ignores others chance from 30 yards.

he would fit madrid if Ronaldo left. Ronaldo leaving madrid would be to only reason to sign bale I guess.
Oh, If Ronaldo won't leave, they will probably not even have the money to buy bale.
