Nah it's not that. I just don't think he's "world class". Bale is definitely an excellent player, and very effective at what he does... but world class? Is the definition changing to include any outfield player that has a good season?

Messi, Zidane, Henry, Xavi, Eto'o, Ronaldo, Ibra, etc... that is my definition of world class

He's more valuable to his team than Ibra and Eto'o right now.

Nor does it mean "world class". If so Benteke, among many others are better than Ibra & Eto'o. Owkay.
But then again, it's a statement coming from a Welshman. Bale is a great player, but definitely not comparable to Ibra & Eto'o (yet?).
