Gareth Bale

It really does depend on what people mean by 'best'. He's performed HEROICS for Spurs this season. In terms of one man's impact he's at least level with Suarez (though he was outshone by the Coutinho + Sturridge show post ban)

Suarez has carried Liverpool, a team worse than Spurs, as well. And he's scored more than Bale, with the ban and all.

As for RVP, he carried Man U to the title. Plus he's the PL's top scorer.

Even though I think RVP and Suarez have been better, calling Bale the best player in the PL is not completely ridiculous. However, calling him the 3rd best player in the world is.

Found out as a world class player?

He has one trick. Kick the ball away to get on his favoured foot, then try and score from long range. Kick the ball away to get on his favoured foot, then cross. etc.

He just kicks the ball away and runs after it faster than the other guy. Sometimes he kicks it further away, while other times he jinks it a half a meter. That's it.

If he were to play in Spain, it wouldn't take very long for defenders to figure out his tactic and intercept.

It's better to have one trick and use it to the max, than to try to be versatile and do nothing.
This *predictability* you're talking about is just lame. Of course he's going to use his strongest weapon, who wouldn't ??? What's Walcott doing for example ? He's playing the same way as Bale, but Bale has much better shooting and is stronger, and not to mention stamina.

Why? Are defenders better in Spain then or what?

Sadly it works against most defenders, but the best/better centre backs and fullbacks would find ways around it

It's mainly about not letting him rip long shots and putting up a pacy defender against him. I'd like to see Alba vs. Bale...
