That's not the point. I also don't care about all this. The point still stands. Bale is not even close to the level of Ronaldo and there is little that tells that he will ever become a better player than CR. It's not Ronaldo's problem that Bale has played for Spurs during the last 6 seasons while not winning a single trophy and not at a club of the size of Man Utd or Real Madrid.
Messi has also played for FCB in his entire career. Should that by any means imply that his achievements are less impressive?
The thing is that Ronaldo won everything there was to win at Man Utd while being hugely influential in those achievements, aside from winning individual trophies such as the Ballon d'Or and the Golden Ball at the age of 23. Bale is 24 years old now.
Moreover at the age of 19 he was instrumental when Portugal reached the UEFA EURO 2004 final and he was important when Portugal reached the World Cup semifinals in 2006.
Bale has had a great season, as I already said, but let's wait with the comparisons and nonsense for at least a few years, shall we?
I believe that you are a Swansea fan and Welsh so you will probably be biased while I am not. Since I don't like or hate neither Ronaldo nor Bale.
There is a difference between being the vocal point in a club of Tottenham's stature where the whole system is built around you and then performing better/similarly at a absolute top club that is Man Utd week and week out and at the highest club stage (CL).
Bale needs at least another 1-2 seasons at this level to even be compared to players of Ronaldo's stature.
That's your opinion and yes.. some will say that about Messi and there is the argument that Maradona is better because he carried Napoli and his Argentina team.
I am not biased and I also know for a fact I've watched Bale play at least twice as much as you and seen his progress, before this season people were overrating him a little in some parts while others underrated him. Right now, he's a beast and truly one of the world's best.
