Absurd punishment of a player who once was among their most influential players. I know this is Martinez being too pussy whipped to let him perform towards the end of the season when Barca could come and snatch him up but it's still ridiculous.

1. some say that Lennon is better currently and that results are better with Lennon/without Deulofeu
2. some say that Deulofeu has huge problems with stamina and that he can't play for longer than 60 minutes per match
3. his style of play doesn't suit their coach. Deulo tries to attack and go forward everytime he gets the ball, while their coach would like to get some possession and not for players to rush forward on every single opportunity
4. some think that a coach doesn't play him anymore because Deulofeu will leave the team this summer, and a coach wants to play with players who will stay
5. some are again mentioning his work ethic and think that he isn't working/defending/running enough during matches and during trainings
6. some say that he hurts the team because he doesn't play defense too much

if that is the case, he should be a good target for Leicester City
He was about to come on and then Lukaku scored. Lennon is just keeping him out at the moment and Lennon also won our player of the month he's playing that good.
Hopefully Deuolofeu will get a game against Arsenal at the weekend and Lennon will get a rest. Stones and Howard have also been benched in that time. Both because the players who are playing are doing great. Martinez can't have favorites even if we do.
Now Barry is suspended and we have more legs in midfield (Besic) he may actually feel we can play 2 wingers and play both Lennon and Deulofeu.
Frankly I've been hoping he plays that team all season so I'm not holding my breath.

This reminds me of the goalkeeper crisis going on at Barca, but the major difference is you can have multiple attackers. This concept of permabenching one of your best players because another player is playing well in that position is ludicrous. Getting them both out there should be a priority. Or, at the very least, rotating your damn team so one of your best players doesn't get 15 minutes of playing time in two months.

They probably didn't expect Lennon to play as well as he has done. The guy hasn't even been able to make it into a weak England side since 2013.
