We've dropped 6+ points from players missing piss easy chances, we've also dropped some points by being overly aggressive when we didn't need to. Unfortunately people with agendas on this forum make out all points were dropped for the latter. As a result there can be no genuine discussion. Saying that, the other side throwing insults is even more pathetic, especially when coming from self-appointed football connoisseurs. Wise up lads.

Anyway could point out Xavi had MATS in goal, who conceded 13 less goals than expected in the title winning year (we won 11 games 1-0), insane stat for a goalkeeper of a club that is supposed to not concede many chances. But even missing that we have a second rate keeper in goal, no allowance for that though.

But at the end of the day, you're mostly judged by results at this club.

I think people are dissatisfied mostly with the points we lost foolishly. We take a draw with Atletico if we don't lose those points like idiots and it's not the end of the world. You take the 10-12 points we lost like naive idots and these points lost vs Leganes and Atletico are easier to swallow.

What is done is done. We have only winable matches until we play Atletico again. Nothing is lost but in the position we are in now, the margin of error is almost zero.

You are right about the points. This is a club where you constantly face the pressure to win titles. It's no surprise.

Yes, you can point out that in 2022-23 we conceded fewer goals than expected, but you can also point out that the defensive structure of the team was much more solid on a tactical level than what we are seeing so far under Flick. It was a more balanced, more pragmatic approach.

I don't know why it is hard to admit Flick has to improve the team in regards to how we defend. It's either that, pray the attack produces super-high output consistently, or the league season is a bust.

Before Atleti I have the half way report a C+, after it's just C.

Pass but barely, you can't tell me about dortmund and Bayern, if you lose to las Palmas and Leganes at home, and have had a 10-12 points swing in the league, winning 1 in 7.

The performance against those teams is the only reason it's not a F.

His squad utilization is a F though.

PS anyone bringing up player errors and then Xavi in the same post should be ignored, how many points did we drop at the start of last season due to player error? We lost a CL SF spot due to player error and despite everything in the game telling us, we were the most likely winner, they refuse to accept it was the player, well now you have to keep the same energy.

Eastern Europe lacks basic safety nets in terms of logic. Is not about being brainwashed to ignore facts as in the west but being a backwater society where debating leads to nowhere if ever done. People don't test their ideas. From politics to bogans.
Logic is logic. What do safety nets mean? What are you implying? Me (Bulgaria) and Serghei (Romania) are indusputable, because some fuck in Hungary lives under Orban and supports Putin?
Take it as in Americans for not knowing geography. Of course many people in US know geography, but when you hear " Europe is a country" you can very much pin point the origin of the concept to USA.
I believe we have some Indian forum members here that comment and formerly a popular Chinese one. Those countries have amateur level football compared to the globe, but members also have good insights on the game. It's individual.

Remember 10 years ago when we hit a bad patch under Lucho and he benched Messi, stirred the shit up, team got that fire under their ass and won the treble 6 months later?

Who is the man who will light the fire now? Flick is still smiling in press conferences and Catalan media still rides players dicks.

Kounde, Balde, Lewa play like shit never get benched. Unless it's some weird rotation pattern where he also plays Martin for couple of matches even though being shit. That idiot Ferran finally scores couple and gets benched for next 3 matches.

I see no pattern of merit in his selection. Probably counts too much on his physical coaches for selections but even then it's questionable as Raphinha clearly said we lost some games due to fatigue.

And then there's a glaring hole in the deck which is Lewandowski who plays way too much for his age and the reason our defensive tactics have to be build to accommodate his age.
Gavi is right to be pissed as is any player who runs himself to the ground.

At this point it seems someone really needs to go public and stir the shit up.
Difference
1 a team of stars that needed some push and had some mature leaders to settle the issue(Xavi)
2. A team of youngsters and mediocres accelerated to boiling point spilling oil from all of it's hozes with a young foreing leader.
At best you get them mid table once the love story ends. And maybe it already ended considering that running makes millionaires unhappy.
