Hansi Flick - how do we rate him?

Completely unrelated.

Even if we had more shots than them that wouldn’t be abnormal high output.

Yes it would. We have 50 xG and 51 goals. We actually scored more goals than expected.

So, we usually score the goals we should score overall. This doesn't fit the picture of a narrative where our offense is failing us consistently.

By one way of playing, I am referring to the fact that Flick plays the same way when he is chasing a game than when he is winning a game with 5 minutes to go. This has resulted in Barca being the highest conceder of late point costing goals amongst big clubs in Europe. That is what I'm talking about when it comes to pragmatism and is a damning piece of evidence.

Flick has shown he has one gear only, 6th. You can teach your side to see out games, without losing your identity, or 'parking the bus'. Pep and Klopp know how to do that, Flick hasn't shown it yet.

The similarities between him and Postecoglu's philosophy is startling and nothing like Klopp or Pep, who both know when their sides need to take the foot off the pedal.

This view does not corroborate with the facts, simply...
In which games did we lose points because Flick failed 'to see out' the game?

- Celta? Not really, the game was lost by brain farts by Casado and Kounde, despite us being bad
- Las Palmas? No, we failed the get a winning score the whole game
- Sociedad? Again, no winning score, and we were outplayed
- Betis? We were also bad from the start, and we lost due to individual mistakes from De Fraud
- Osasuna? again, no winning score, and game was lost due to the heavily rotated squad was not on the same level
I am not even discussing the Leganes and Atleti games which were lost because our players could not finish for their lives

So, where is this game that we could have won if we didn't gear down?
If anything, in all these games, bar Leganes Atleti, we NEVER geared up

'Failing to see out games' is again another easy slogan/motto that people throw at Flick, like the 'high line is naive', that cannot stand to the simplest reality check
We have lost 0 pts so far this season 'because he have a high line,' just as much points 'because we did not see out games'

PS: The only criticism against Flick should be that the level of concentration/motivation of the players were not the same in all these games (bar Leganes Atleti) compared to the games when we triumphed

You don't know how xG works, do not use it in your poorly constructed arguments

1 xG does not translate to 1 goal

We are the top team with the most big chances missed in Europe

You are too emotional and don't care for most relevant stat of them all, points won and position in the league. That's the key and if you don't get it right, a failure is guaranteed.

You operate in a theoretical world, but in the practic world, you are on course for 70something points, with a sqaud that at worst should pick up 85-88 points you're doing things poorly.

We are much better than Tottenham, it's a stylistical comparison mostly. Tottenham have best attack in the league, like us, very exposed defensively, with poor xG against, also like us. Both need either extremely high attacking power (like far higher than all the other teams they compete against), or tactical adjustments to fix the defensive vulnerabilities.

I believe tweaking the tactics to protect the defense more is the right approach of the two. Much more likely to work and bring points than to hope your offense produces abnormally high outputs. We need to look more at Liverpool and what they do with Slot. Top attack but very good defensively also. Balanced approach, both creative and pragmatic, they often mold on the opponents and switch midgames.

Also on Liverpool, they played Tottenham, smelled blood and potential of scoring 5-6 against a crap defense, they went high on attack. They play a more defensively compact side, like Girona, 1-0 win. Games are not at all similar, because the opponent played completely different. And so did Liverpool.

We played Las Palmas, they scored fucking 2 goals against us. It was piss easy for them to score those goals. We give away easy clear chances and this has to stop or we're done in the league.

Same old fantasies by people who don't understand football

Liverpool do not play differently depending on the opponent.
The play the same: they buildup slowly, baiting the opposition to press, and when the moment is right they hit the ball long to onrushing attackers in numerically advantegous for them situations.

Watch some YT tactical analysis to start understanding football a bit

You brought up xG, you used it wrongly, I am replying to that.

I am perfectly sober and unemotional.
I just can't tolerate reading crap by spoiled people who want their cake and eat it too, and try to rationalize in ridiculous arguments the reason for the bad form with the sole intention to put it on Flick

I am fine, thanks.
Stick to the point and do not evade.
So far you have produced 0 meaningful arguments
Everything you have mentioned has been countered

How? We are on course for a very poor season in the league in the most relevant aspects. How did you counter that .

Your top managers ETH and Postecoglu got their teams midtable using their plan. One got sacked, one might follow soon.

You operate in the world of shoulds and ifs.

The position in the table and the points is NOT an argument.

An argument is the reason you put forward for this.
All of which have been very poor.

Try again

Please man... we have the two best scorers in the league, and we're acting as if these players are the problem... doesn't make sense.

If we are going to look at where Flick could improve I would look at rotation. Lewandowski needs to be rested when can.

Wouldn’t trust this defense even if we opted a more defensive style.

I read we are looking at getting full backs. Would be a good thing me thinks.
