The best way to describe his tenure so far is that we are super strong Spurs. We play great, attacking football generally, but we are full of self destruction ( Spursy ) and we only have one way of playing. ( High press, High line )
I found it remarkably naive when Flick said he didn't care about the way the opposition were going to play. That statement was so Ange Postecoglue like, that I'm surprised it didn't come out with a Australian accent.
He's done many good things so far, and the ride has been fun, but he desperately needs to improve his in game management, when to rest/rotate players and add a touch of pragmatism to his tactics if he wants to be a consistent trophy winning manager here.
There is not a single piece of evidence during this bad run of form that points to this silly 'pragmatism' argument that is parroted day in day out from people here that simply want their cake and eat it too...
Did any team broke our high line? Did we concede 5 or 6 big chances in a game from through balls that we failed to render offside? So what is this kind of pragmatism that you are requesting?
Is it sitting back, parking bus to protect a lead?
Anyone asked this question here gets cornered and can't answer
Same with the 'only one way of playing'.
There is only 1, literally 1 way of playing with every great coach, be it Pep, Klopp, you name it.
The only thing that changes in each game are the slight formational adjustments (which Flick also makes, look at the last game vs Atleti) that do NOT affect the core of how a team plays: whether slowly building up, whether high line, whether counter-pressing, whether directly, etc.
