Will be harder v this Real to deliver titles and wont be given the money/freedom that Xavi was to spend it but the comparison will be there and his success discussed as with every coach.

Also needs to do far better than Xavis European failures.. it has cost the club a fortune.

This gets brushed under the carpet way too easily by Xavi supporters.

2 CL exits in the group, and the arrogance towards the EL which cost us the WCC deserves accountability.

Not even arrogance in EL.. he was badly outcoached by Frankfurt and Man Utd and in some of those CL group games.

Domestic cups also... two early exits to Bilbao and worst home defeat in decades to Real Madrid.

Winning a title with this team against this opposition would be miraculous. Nothing short of amazing. Enough to look at Barca’s bench yesterday.

Solid coaching and tactics, implementing some patterns, higher fitness level and improved physicality, out of the group stage and later performance judged based on the draw, and solid showing in the league would put Flick miles ahead of Xavi. And a healthy maximum one can expect given the circumstances.

Titles would be nice but it’s laugh worthy expecting Flick to fight for major titles with such a thin squad.

Just be happy with the coach we have, and see what happens.

Xavi was here for 2 full seasons, won us a league title and help us through one of the most difficult period the club has been through, laid the groud work with his promotion of youth team players.

Help to sign players who are fundamental to the club's pass, current and future success.

Sent de jong to the stands for a few months to work on his game and he's the better for it.

Was a Araujo fuck up away from the CL S.F.

Took us from 8/9th to 2nd in his first half a season.

All that in 2.5 years, was he perfect no, was the football typical Barca football, no, but under the circumstances he did a good job.

Now it's for flick to take that and add his own way of doing things to it, Madrid has improved but we are also stronger, let's push and see what happens.

Oh how they used to mock anyone who thought Xavi was not doing and amazing job...

Araujo red didnt help.. but it doesnt end the tie also PSG were targetting him and setting traps and nothing was done about it.

Can't let it slide. You can't force comparisons and then use some arbitrary stuff. The demands are in the results.

Simple. Xavi had a La Liga season with a ppg average that normally leads to a 95 point season. If Flick matches that, he is likely to get the title.
