Can't let it slide. You can't force comparisons and then use some arbitrary stuff. The demands are in the results.

Nothing said was 'arbitary'.

Indeed results matter.. that is the point.

Xavi had too many failures and had to go.

Barca need to be competing for league and competing better in Europe and even in domestic cup.

Whether Flick is right option or not time will tell.

They are gonna be factored in for sure. Once Flick brings home a La Liga.

We shall see.

Regardless Xavi had too many failures and had to go.

All the reasons near enough folk had for saying he needs to do better on came home to roost... his fucking unqualified brother being one.

It's obvious Xavi had to go. But to be better than Xavi, you need to achieve what he did in his time, which is a La Liga title.

All other arguments count, but the biggest most important argument is winning titles.

Flick will be gone in 3 seasons too, when was the last time a manager lasted 5 seasons at Barcelona.

He could be a failure or a success in that time, i hope it's the latter.

Obvious?

You wanted Xavi to go?

When did that start being the opinion?

Better for the team now than Xavi in charge now is what matters as much really.

One league title and failures in Europe costing the team untold amounts of cash when could not afford it is awful and then out early twice v Bilbao in cup and worst home defeat in decades to Real.

EV was a better coach and he was hounded.

He moaned about the situation of the club, in a non-productive manner. His sacking is justified. If a manager doesn't believe in his team anymore, the separation is needed.

You wanted Xavi to be sacked before the news started to break that Laporta had made that decision?

Xavi had been making excuses about team long before that anyway.

 That is a different question. You can admit the validity of things you don't like. It's a matter of principle. Principles reign supreme over common things such as being a fan of something, somebody and so on.

He fecked up, and Laporta made a decision that had solid grounds.

Xavi moaning about the situation was nothing new.. all that had fed Laporta lines about how much could achieve so he could go back on his 'decision' to quit.

Then he.. moaned again and Laporta felt betrayed.

Xavi moaned constantly about anything he could.

The circumstances were totally different to me. Mourinho constantly moaned about stuff even in his prime. Sometimes you moan to motivate the players and build an us vs them mentality. Or because you are a bad loser. Or many other things.

Sometimes, moaning shows a more serious weakness.

Mourinho was one of the best going at protecting his players and using media to deflect.

Xavi just moaned non stop and behaved like a child on sidelines going as far as verbally abusing his own players.

Then tries to save his job with fake politics about resigning... blaming anyone but himself and all about media etc... When in reality he was probably the most protected Barca coach by media in recent memory.

Constant excuses and lack of self evaluation caught up with him.

As said, you don't produce a season like 22-23 La Liga just by moaning like an idiot. The problem of your argumentation lies in the facts.

Xavi produced a superb La Liga season in 2022-23 and nothing can change that, the team showed guts, fighting spirit, mentality, everything needed to get the job done. The stuff you say is valid only for the tail end of his tenure. Not for his entire time.

It was a good win, but it also came with a set of humiliations in the cup and Europe, so it wasn't a perfect or superb season overall.

He moaned too much time and again.. moaning coaches can win but dont usually too long. Lots of the things that were red flags even in his first seaosn and a half played out even with the title win.

Not enough to save him though and not even close to what likes of EV did who used to get slaughtered for example.
