Why would Wenger sell his only first team RB (who is on a 6 year contract) for 40m? If it's happening, it's going to be a record breaking number, and even then both Barca and Arsenal fans will be angry about it.

I don't think Arsenal fans will be too angry about it if the price is over 50M. I've seen a of of gunners on reddit who are actually alright with him leaving and buying Semedo instead or putting Ox at RWB.

Over 50m for Bellerin?

Well, if you value him that much, then keep him, Arsene. :D 50M for Bellerin leaves 30M in the bank for another WORLD CLASS transfer.

The only reason why the Board is so obsessed with this guy is because he was at La Masia. He didn't even want to comeback here.

If they think they're getting a replacement right after selling Bellerin, then they haven't been Arsenal fans long enough. Was it even that long ago that we sold Van Persie, tried to get Higuain, and ended up with Sanogo?

That number doesn't really represent Bellerin's worth, but how much trouble for us losing him means. If we had a better player, or even at the very least an average RB from the youth team, letting him leave wouldn't be a big deal. Another thing worth mentioning is the message it sends to Ozil, Sanchez, and any striker we're trying to sign. It indicates zero ambition

We need to cut Bellerin off the list very fast if Arsenal doesn't seem open to selling or if Bellerin doesn't force his way out. I don't want us to lose our other targets by insisting too much on this a la Thiago Silva.

Set a max amount, which should be 40m. and not a penny more. Make a first offer for 25 or so, them up it to 40 if they don't want to sell. Then if at 40 it's still a no-go, then pressure Bellerin to talk with his club and tell them he wants to go to Barca. If he doesn't want to force his team's hand, move on. If he talks to Arsenal and they still don't want to sell or ask for more money, fuck 'em and move on.

This should be done in about a week or so. After this week we should know if there are chances to sign him, or not. And if not, move on to other targets. And do it quickly FFS.

This one is going to test how stubborn Robert and the Board can get.

If Wenger and Arsenal say want a high fee for him 60-70+ Million euros (Aka Fuck off he signed a deal until 2023), that should be our cue to say screw it onto the next target. I don't want to us to be stubborn as fuck and try the 40+Million+Arda/ Rafinha crap.

It's just a waste of time at that point.

It's pretty apparent Arsenal won't want to sell? It makes no sense, why go chase a guy who just signed a new contract and will be more difficult to buy when there are two players who are available (Semedo or Fabinho) that cost the same or less!?! We will end up chasing Bellerin while someone else signs Semedo/Fabinho to be left with having to pay the huge fee or missing out.

There's a reason why we are chasing him hard.

-Catalan

-Former La Masia

-Young

- is a starter for a top club like Arsenal.

But I don't like it either. I don't think he's the RB we need and it the whole deal screams we want him so much is because he happens to be a former La Masia player who happened to make it big. yeah he's young and can improve but for the money Arsenal would want it simply isn't worth it.
