Good transfer. He's doing the hard work and keeps our shit together. Still needs to work on passing though, especially that last key pass is lacking, fucked up a few good chances to put his mates clear on goal last time around

Why do so few people actually see this? You are absolutely right and it was apparent in since he played his first match in a barca shirt.
First touch, technique, short passing , mental quickness are all not up to standard to play for barca, let alone start for barca.
This has been glaringly obvious from day one
The problem is thanks to the transfer ban and Xavi probably retiring next season, the midfield will be, Rakitic, Roberto, Rafinha , Iniesta.
Who ever thinks this midfield is good enough to win anything has no clue about football , frankly.
This is just criminal decision making and squad building .
The current administration is just absolutely clueless about football

Should have been done with Cesc as well.
Us chasing Pep's style and looking for Xavi 2.0 to run things is why we are so mediocre nowadays.

Or we actually buy good players who fit the barca team? Not average ones who had one good season and were only singed because it was too exhausting for Zubizzareta to observe players outside the spanish league

We had Thiago and Cesc, there was no need for any player to be bought actually, but they stil needed to be suited into a style that made them effective.
I also dislike Zubi and his policy but currently its Lucho's task to make the players fit into a style thats effective.
There is no Xavi 2.0 out there, closes to it is Gundogan with his chronic back problems. Midfield failing currently is more Lucho's fault than Zubi imo.
Defence reinforcements suck the most of all and Lucho makes it worse.
He improved as soon as Xavi came on. I actually saw Rakitic past the halfway line when Xavi came on and we sort of started to have a midfield

The only real CM we have is Xavi, and its noticable we get much mroe control when he plays.
We had the same problems with Cesc who also is an AM.
Playing Iniesta and Cesc didnt work, we had no control in midfield. You pretty much had to play Xavi/Iniesta, or Xavi/Cesc.
What really should try to find a real CM imo. Unfortunally theres not many of them out there.
