Xavi's being asked about the Messi-Le incident in his presser now... He's having to explain all the same stuff again. Thanks, Jeremy.

He does not strike me as the brightest fella out there.

Senseless comment really. Something that ended has now restarted. For the time being at least. Just what the Madrid media needed.

Not a huge deal I know but it is not the first time that he is unable to keep quite. There was this comment after El Clásico as well. Unnecessary too.

Pretty poor from the Frenchman, no doubt...I've liked the player and you could almost excuse this sort of behavior from a new player but not one with his experience...Of course, Mathieu is not likely to ever had this sort of intense media scrutiny before either

I suspect he won't be in too many interviews going forward although in the bigger picture I hope his achilles does not continue to be an issue and he provides us some needed defensive depth

Andres Iniesta: "Jeremy Mathieu's comments have already been forgotten"
The defender lifted the lid on the fallout between Messi and Luis Enrique in an interview last week

Andres Iniesta has played down the effect of Jeremy Mathieu lifting the lid on the fallout between Luis Enrique and Lionel Messi.
The duo had a spat prior to the defeat against Real Sociedad, but it had originally been denied across the club.

However, Mathieu, speaking after the Copa del Rey game against Atletico Madrid, admitted that there had been a small coming together.

In an interview in the mixed zone with beIN sports, though, Iniesta has said there is no blame being attributed the French defender's way.
"Teammates never want to harm each other, not least Mathieu, who is an excellent teammate," Iniesta explained. "It is already forgotten.
"All we want to do now is focus on staying strong."

With respect to the upcoming Copa del Rey semi-final against Villarreal, Iniesta said: "They will be two evenly-matched and intense games. Hopefully we can make it to the final."
He also spoke about the importance of Luis Suarez to Barça's team, even though the Uruguayan forward has managed just two league goals so far this season.

"He's helping in other areas that are equally as important," the midfielder added. "He's scored goals all his life and for that reason it's a question of time [until he scores again].
"I hope in the next game he gets a bit more fortune."
