Giro resigned, what can you do? Goes to show Laporta wasn't prepared, he should have figured out roles and responsibilities etc. a long time ago.

Yea, pretty much. He's trying to figure out who does what post elections. During the elections, he was playing the nostalgia card and little else. Let's hope it pans out well somehow even if it looks a bit messy.

Not sure how this proves he has no plan when he had someone ready to take over from Giro very quickly after he resigned.

Not like you have to be a bank manager to be FC Barcelona's Economic VP and be successful at that. Besides are people forgetting our CEO used to be the CEO for a company with a revenue in the 10s of billions?

Giro is still going to be there Wednesday and will probably be an asset for the club and Laporta either way, even if he isn't involved in an official capacity. Some of you only look for negatives.

He hired that Reverter guy as CEO right after winning the election. There was probably a gentlemens agreement between Laporta and him to keep it secret as he still had a contract with MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group.

You can try and figure everything out, but those guys probably all have alpha mentality and there is not much you can do when there is disagreement over responsibilities or something else which makes it hard for them to work together. Better it happens now than in 6 months or a year.

Another rumour is that Giro wanted to be Vice President #1 and not #2. Vice President #1 will be Laporta's right hand Yuste.

At least Giro will be an advisor for the club.

No matter how people try to spin this, likely this happened due to some sort of dispute on roles and responsibilities and why would there be a dispute in the first place? If Laporta had clearly laid out roles and responsibilities like the CEO would do ABC and the economic VP would do XYZ, who supersedes who if there are disagreements etc., no matter who becomes the CEO or VP etc., people will just abide by the rules agreed upon, otherwise they will not join his organization, it is that simple.

He still hasn't presented the guarantee!!! Today is the last day to present it. If there is no agreement with guarantors, Barca will have to repeat the elections! That would be an epic disaster!

I thought he already did? Not seeing any big headlines regarding this so it should be fine.

He has other options that are problematic, like giving shares to American funds to cover for the rest of guarantee sum. Such move means outside people are coming on board and will be part of the decision taking at the club.
