Laporta's hands are tied somewhat. It would help if we could move some of the seniors and bums but they're not willing to cooperate. They're only here for prestige, the lifestyle and money. Anyway we still have time, i just hope he can convince most of them to gtfo.

It is likely a very long summer,with both signings and departure.
Everyone loves the idea of having the squad sorted in June, it is just not realistic, there is a reason the merkato closes by end of August/early September.
It will be long process, finding a club for each outcast, selling,loaning and negotiating exits of some players to finance signings.

It already seems that by the end of the month we will have 5 new additions, who collectively will cost 9M and would add huge depth while being on reasonable contracts (both wage and length). All seems to be solid additions.
That is already a damn good start.

I like Laporta's offensive approach tbh. Of course, with all of those free agents you must be quick anyway, but signing players early kinda pressures players in the squad to find a new club or else they'll rot in the stands.

Umtiti should be sold this summer, and both Pique and Lenglet should be phased out and eventually go.
So after a season or so we will be betting only on Araujo Mingueza and Garcia.
Definetely a top notch CB is needing to accompany them.
All in for De ligt either now or next summer.

The likes of Pique and Busquets should be binned not just on reduced roles.

A new coach needs to come in with complete freedom and control of the dressing room and not have old players that have too much ego and influence.

No top coach will ever touch the Barca job when they are signing old players to keep Messi happy and still have mouth pieces like Pique at the club and player like Busquets who most likely still believe top level. Benching those players and dealing with fall out is more hassle than worth.

Barca wont return to being a top club until all the old players are gone and their is a blank canvas for a top coach to put ideas onto the team.
