Tebas and Liga themselves weren't big opponents to ESL themselves actually, didn't put pressure on clubs or anything like EPL or even Calcio.

Tebas tried to force Laporta to accept CVC deal which small clubs (voters for Tebas) wants.

Tebas has lost just like Laporta, Liga will lose revenue with no Messi, something that even smaller clubs didn't want to happen. Barca, RM,Bilbao and Spanish federation all against CVC and there is huge legal battle for it.
If CVC deal doesn't go through, Tebas will most likely be shown the door soon.

Disappointing showing from Laporta. Still vacationing in Ibiza while apparently we still haven't registered the four new signings with 3 days left before our league opener. He needs to be personally calling and negotiating with the agents of the four captains to reduce our wage bill, that is the last bit of hope to register the new signings.

I was trying to see if the rumours of Barca not being able to register the players are true.

Laporta should have made the relaxing of the rules something Perez agreed to push for before going along with the rejection of CVC.

Easy way to grill Tebas is for some1 to ask him straight up: "Why don't you give us the same registration leeway as clubs in the other leagues enjoy? Or at least make it possible for clubs to replace their deadweights with new signings [as long as they meet wage cap criteria]?"

Status quo not only resulted in losing Messi but with so many clubs unable to register their new players, LL is unfairly penalized.
