With the impact of the financial issues, and how the salary cap is effected by all the sports sections, a couple of questions.

1) Could we look to privatize the Basketball section, perhaps In a 51/49 model similar to the German clubs. Use it as a test run for the football team potentially.

2) if we could achieve this with an American investor, could we try to move the Basketball team to the NBA as the first overseas expansion team. Travel times are not too bad with the Eastern conference.

I don't think that is likely, even if it was allowed (provided that socis vote yes and if the Spanish sports law finds no issues etc.). The basketball section has been losing big money for a long time, not just us, Madrid too, also Valencia basket etc. The revenue is on the rise but just can't keep up with the cost, we have been losing 30 -40m or so every year I think. With that kind of negative return of investment, I don't know if anybody is willing to partake in this venture.

Maybe something to ponder down the road though.

🚨🎖️| It was difficult for Alemany to understand how Messi would return when Gavi, Balde and Araujo are not registered and an additional €200M needs to be reduced. Laporta asked for calm [@tjuanmarti via: @forcabarca_ar] #fcblive

BS talk, Alemany was surely in talks with Villa for months, he needs more money every time 1/2 years.

That's how we snapped him

If that fatass brings Deco as SD, then liquidate the club

Team of Amigos on the pitch with Messi Alba Busi Roberto
Board of Amigos with Laporta and his buddies running our club

Nah Deco has an eye for a player and has shown that.

The issue would be.. would it be worthwhile taking the job when Xavi/Laporta may not take much notice of his input.

Planes and Alemany leaving would suggest that could be the case.

Also Deco would have to move his family across and give up his agent work. Not sure why he would do that.

Where are his credentials dude?

FC Barcelona is one of the greatest brand in the sport
You would want the BEST professionals to be appointed at every position, let alone a position as crucial as an SD

Barca wont pay the money for a 'top SD' and most likely even if could they would not want to work under Laporta anyway.

Makes perfect sense, the main objective of a football club is to win big titles, and Barca did it this season. So... very nice job by them. Let's see next season how they do.

❗| Barcelona will stop providing free Wi-Fi in Spotify Camp Nou and it's surroundings from today onwards

Finally some proper penny pinching
