I meant that I hope Laporta doesn't do a Bartomeu by signing a deal that gives us short-term relief that costs us in the future.
Laporta has already demolished anyone for these deals but regardless..

Here is 4 class men that were insulted, belittled, and made to feel worthless by the incompetent circus that runs our club
All of them have dreamt of playing for Barca, parked aside all other offers to play for us, were willing to accepts loans and strange wages formulas to play for us, and all of them contributed substantially on the field based on what each could give
Yet all of them were asked/forced to go to make room for some other player in a totally unacceptable way by a clown and his buddies that have plagued our institution the last few years

Basically Laporta took a major gamble on Xavi and pulling those levers. That has turned out to be a failure and we're pretty much back to square one. No proper plan, just Laporta spouting crap to the media and overindulged in food. We really need to sell a 49 percent share of the club.

Not yet, but 2026 elections will be crucial.
If Laporta gets re-elected, OR EVEN WORSE, the worst thing that can happen to Barca as an institution, Pique gets elected,
then you can consider it done

Nike and Barca have been an iconic combination for a long time. Same as Adidas with Madrid. The Barca brand still remains strong despite many hits during the past 5 years. Would think Nike wouldn't want to lose that.
At the same time they have no reason to extend the deal as they can sit and wait and see how the reopening of Camp Nou pans out and how successful the sporting side is.

The worst thing that can happen is Rossell and Bartomeu reappearing and again starting giving out massive long-term contracts.
The Barca ship was already under the water when Laporta took over. But since then, he has been patching little meaningless holes, while the big one is still getting bigger.
I think we need a completely new board with preferrably a financial director, who had nothing to do with Barca before and is specialized in saving companies who have a big name but are in trouble due to bad financial managment and making them as profitable as they can be.

Maybe Nike tries to pressure us into favorable terms for them using the transfer deadlines? They aren't a charity. There can be a million reasons for a deal of that magnitude to stall and it's not necessarily on the club.
