I'm not saying he is not the best coach right now. Most people believe that. I don't, he is the most succesful but not necesarily the BEST, again that's just my opinion and has nothing to do with my point

My point is you can be the best at what you are doing and still be humble: Messi is the perfect example of that

thing is if messi doesnt do with argentina what he has done with barca, i doubt that he would be classified as the best player.

most successful = the best. there are no two qualms about it. he has never had a bare season.

and please don't tell me you fall to the myth that Messi never performs for Argentina. He was quite good in all competitions he participated in with them; World cup 2006 (was really impressive whenever he came on), Copa America 2007, Olympics 2008, and World Cup 2010.

maybe not impressive but definitely consistent performances in all those competitions.

Messi hasn't been perfect for Argentina, but just as Barcelona has gotten the best out of him and he wouldn't be this good elsewhere, Argentina is a mess right now and there's only so much he can do.

of course Messi hasn't been perfect for Argentina, even for Barca he wouldn't seem as perfect if it wasn't for Xavi and Iniesta. As I said he might not be that impressive for Argentina (probably due to the fact that he drops way too deep to get the ball) but he's definitely consistent in terms of producing good performances. Call me biased but I think he was one of Argentina's best 2 performers during the last world cup.
