Lately, a club from Ligue 2 was demoted to amateur league because they were charged with one game fraud.

They were judged on the fact that they sent lots of Bordeaux wine as payment :rofl1:

Here you would laugh, but here that's how it is.

Marseille is the biggest case however. Despite winning the CL, they got demoted to amateur league in the past because of one game fraud with the club of Valencienne.

Marseille is facing the same fate right now for the same shaddy deal as neymar's here.

Last week, Marseille Boss was brought to police again for questionning about shaddy transfers deals.

Those situations are different from clubs trying to avoid paying tax, you have highlighted instances of match fixing which gets treated differently.

They are two totally different scenarios.

Any instances of the French teams being demoted due to not paying tax?

Thats correct that the media are only highlighting the problem but do people take that attitude when the Madrid press attack the Messi camp for not paying his taxes? Are his team called corrupt and guilty of destroying his reputation and potentially putting him behind bars.

So many hypocrites - when the media expose things people dont like then it is 'Franco Govt', 'Madrid bias' ect. Yet when the same media expose things that people like then this is suddenly the honest media exposing the wrong doings.

Who's saying anything about honest media? It's the usual spanish media, but they're not to blame for rosell's fuck ups. Really funny how deep you're willing to go to defend rosell and barto.

I agree they are not to blame, but anyone saying that cannot blame them for the way they have attacked Messi camp over tax avoiding either.

Not defending them at all. If they get found guilty then they deserve all they get.

Nothing is different here in France. Marseille is facing right now the same penalties as in the past if found guilty about shaddy transfers deals.

It can range from a fine and people going to prison, to the club being demoted or even disolved.

Marseille is facing a big risk of being demoted. It's France, we are not forgiving. You can even be disolved if you have debts.

Any company in the world can be dissolved if they have debts they cant pay, it happened to Rangers. Nothing unique to France and nothing to do with this Barca case either.

'Shady transfer deals' cover a huge range of crimes as well.

Avoiding paying tax is actually very common in football and I cant remember any huge punishments for it. May be wrong.

Not that it makes it right. They will have their day in court for that.

what is actually going to happen?

Loads of clubs have been found to be avoiding tax in past - a lot of Spanish teams and big English teams like Arsenal and Chelsea. Almost all have been found to not technically broke the law so no criminal charges but they have payed the tax back.

If anything different happens to Barca then it will be quite unique.

Not blaming media but there are forces out there trying to get the club and treat them differently. Just look at the way the tax issues of Messi and Cassilas were handled.

I wouldn't be surprised after the FIFA episode.
Pretty obvious that a lot of anti-catalan/barca people use their power to put Barcelona in a bad situation.
We shouldn't overlook the magnificent work that our trusty board made during the last four years though.

That's not what rosell did. He tried to operate inside of the account limits the socis voted, so the money spent would be within that limit. But it was impossible, without using next window transfer money too. That's what he should had done. But I don't think the socis would be happy with paying 100m for Neymar back then. And Rosell wanted Neymar at Barça at any cost, as he had plenty of intere$t to do so.

Do you think Rosell had a problem to convince socios to shift the spending plan after 2 years of financial improvement, especially with purchase of Neymar which was a significant strategic movement. He said several times that he can be flexible with his spending. Maybe he was more concerned not to disclose the real in-pocket cash for Neymar so he won't upset other accomplished players of the club. That was the strange case of Jordi Cases with an agenda to create chaos between the players because of unfair payments to Neymar, but despite all of that Neymar has great relationship with Messi and other players. All the big clubs are dirty but for some reason the focus recently on our club: FIFA ban(many clubs did it, we are the only ones who are getting the full punishment), Messi's tax investigation, Neymar's investigation chapter 1 and chapter 2, FIFA BdO extension. Have you noticed that RM is getting penalty kicks in every game and we are getting disallowed goals. Our players are getting beaten up on the pitch while referees "don't see it". This is not about what Rosell and Barto did, this is Spain's ego being hurt for Catalonia's attempt to get independence.

Si no hi ha pacte Barça - Fiscalia, la Fiscalia podria demanar fins a 9 anys de presó per Rosell i multa de fins 6 cops quantitat defraudada

If there is no court settlement Barça - Fiscalia, the fiscalia can demand up to 9 years in jail for rosell, and a fine up to 6 times the amount defrauded.

That's a cadena ser twitter.
