Josep Maria Bartomeu

The club can be harmed but it is indestructible as en entity. Can't see any serious fines for FCB when all is said and done, unless Madrid truly wants blood

as to Bartomeu, Rosell & co... F**k them. :)

Bartomeu is giving an interview in the same line of some posters here. Blaming madrid for everything, and pretending to be a saint

Bartomeu: "El barcelonismo tiene que unirse contra los ataques que vienen de fuera". "The barcelonismo has to unite against these attacks from outside"
"Hay ciertos poderes del Estado a los que no les ha gustado que Neymar venga al Barça" "There are certain powers of the state that don't like that Neymar came to Barça, a Catalan club."

Seriously pathetic. He even maintained, again, that Neymar cost 57m

He is correct though. Barcelona get attacked in Spain for things others dont.

The Messi case and this being a prime example.

Not that it excuses doing wrong if they are found to be but there is certainly that issue that Barcelona are treated differently.

People cant claim Madrid press are too hard on Messi etc then in next breath mock Barto for pointing out same thing.

Shameful. He is trying to rally the Catalan socios with those words before elections. I hope they don't fall for it. Barto is such a cancer to this team. My worst nightmare is if he gets reelected again.

How can you take Barto seriously when he continues to say neymar did cost 57M which is proven wrong after the investigation?

Barto is not right. He's using the socios and the club against madrid to try to hide that he and the board did illegal things.

He never came forward to defend Messi, though. And he's not right. Using the catalan independence as excuse is pretty pathetic. And don't forget he is maintaining the 57m figure, after many reports proving otherwise. He's a a lying crook.

He has to say that Neymar cost 57m and the rest are partnership deals.

If he admits that other money was paid into those companies to avoid tax then the case is lost already.

Not that I believe him. 100% agree that the money was paid that way as part of transfer and to avoid tax.

Why is it pathetic for Barto to say that yet people on here say daily the same type of things and about the way the rest of Spain treat Barcelona and its players??

Cant have it both ways. Barto is right but it doesnt mean they can use it as an excuse for breaking law. But 100% Barca are treated differently.

Because he is insisting they did nothing wrong. By now he should just keep quiet. Trying to play the victim is insulting to anyone following this affair. He is not a victim, nor is rosell.
Also, don't compare the injustices that happen on la liga with this. Makes no sense.

Laporta should be behind bars, using this logic. His Barça was the best team ever, and he is very vocal about catalunya independence. I wonder why he's not in jail, then.

Spot on. He has no choice but to repeat the same 57M otherwise he will lose the case. However, I don't think the intention here was avoid the taxes. Too simple and too stupid. I think Cruyff had the best explanation what was the motivation behind this transfer. He said"How do you justify that kind of payment to 20 years old player(the portion that was paid to Neymar under the table), who won nothing when you have players who won everything for you".

Well neither is the Messi camp a victim in his tax case.

Of course they are insisting they never broke the law as they are fighting the case.

If you dont think there has been a huge increase in media and political attacks on Barcelona in the past few years thats fine. I think there has.

Not that it is any excuse for breaking law but everyone should be treated the same if they do and thats clearly not the case.

Who said the Messi camp is a victim? I wouldn't vouch for Jorge Messi.

The attacks were always there. It increased because now they have legitimate bases to it, handed by rosell and co.

And one thing is to fight the injustices that happen in la liga. It's something else entirely to use that as an excuse for their wrong-doings, and this is what Bartomeu just did.

Loads of people have said that the tax authorities and Madrid media are out to get Messi and not treating him the same way as Madrid players such as Cassilas. Which I agree with, not that it means they are wrong for going after his tax but wrong for treating him differently.

Can find quotes on that if you want.

Barto is saying club have done not commited fraud and this is a campaign to smear the club.

Lets see what outcome of investigation is but is unusual for this sort of situation to be taken this far.
