where are the enlightened users who said until recently that Messi was a finished player and the weak point of the team?
in 2021 17 appearances 15 goals and 6 assists

CR7 is just a great goal scorer; Infact CR7 at United is better than CR7 at RM if you consider his overall game; Bragging about his International achievements is funny when you compare against players like Zidane, Ronaldo(R9), Ronaldinho, or even Batistuta (Based on what they brought onto the pitch & their individual contribution to the team achievement)

loled hard when CR let that ball go through his legs in the 'wall' against porto

conveniently dont want to discuss Messi's terrible KO PK record and want to turn it around on CR who is an infinitely better and more reliable PK taker

so ?

I'm not the Hypocrite complaining around to mods that someone made personal remarks about me , only to call a group of people ,,braindead" like 2 days later.

Also ,, hope for better things for our club " ? Only good thing we have left is Messi dude. If u expected us to go through yesterday , even if Messi scored that Penaldo ( we still would have needed 3 more without them scoring 1 , Griezzman and Dembele wouldn't have turned into Pele for us to score more and neither Lenglet into Nesta so we don't conceive more ) or have any chances for a CL this season , you have problems.

I take things as they are , I'm a realist. Imagine complaining that someone celebrated Messi's incredible goal by calling it ,,cringy" .

Grow up my dawg.

For the record, it was your pal KingLeo who started the 'reporting' business. I'm more than happy to let that go but I didn't think it fair for one 'group' to be able to do it and not another. So if you have a problem with it, take it up with KingLeo.

'Growing up' involves severing your idealization of individual players. 'Taking things as they are' is not saying 'job done' as if we achieved anything. We got knocked out. That's the reality. Are you willing to admit Leo let the team down by missing that PK?

Messi was the only one who scored in this tie vs PSG.

You act like that penalty had any meaning whatsoever , like it would have guaranteed to get us through or something of that sort. We would have still needed 3 more even with his penaldo and PSG scoring 0 more.

Messi did his job. Are you willing to admit the team let Messi down , especially Dembele in the 2nd game with his pathetic misses and our catastrophic deffence in the first ?

You probably won't since you enjoy shitting on a 34yo in form Messi , who is our only realistic hope for getting anything positive out of this season. Pathetic.

1. That penalty did have meaning. Leo scores that after his first screamer and we are in a great position to score a third, etc.
2. Yes, the team let Messi down. Lenglet in particular. And above all Dembele. Perfectly true.
3. I don't 'enjoy' critiquing Messi; what I am is objective about it. Nothing would delight me more than having him heroically deliver results.

Showing your true colors again, eh? Alik

Too bad I'm not going to run screaming "MODS PLEASE HELP I'M FEELING THREATENED". Imagine actually saying those words on a football forum.

Also, I reported you for having a 4 word vocabulary of "Beta. Meme. Arsenal fan. Cuck" and calling others variations of those 4 in every post.

CR7 has missed the same amount of important penalties (CL, NT) as Messi. Deal with it.

Missing a penalty is not 'letting team down'. No one in team bar Messi being pissed off at missing it would feel like that.

Messi doesn't have a terrible KO PK record.

Just from his PKs for Argentina in knockout stage

2011 Copa America QF vs Uruguay: scored in the penalty shootout
2014 World Cup SF vs Netherlands: scored in the penalty shootout
2015 Copa America QF vs Colombia: scored in the penalty shootout
2015 Copa America Final vs Chile: scored in the penalty shootout

The one that he missed in the Knockout was the 2016 Copa America final vs Chile. Messi's a very good penalty taker, just not a specialist like CR
