CR is also almost 3 years older than Messi and it's kinda normal he has more goals , not to mention he's a box player rather than Messi who stays more around the midfield.


Less NT goals than Messi ......CR is lucky in this department since most of his goals come against the likes of Luxembourg , Andorra , Feroe Island and teams as such. Imagine Messi in his goat years at a European team against those kind of teams.


Yeah he has 2 international trophies while not even playing in the final and another friendly tournament which he sucked in the final. If VAR existed in the last 10 years , he would have 3 CL less.


You need context when you make these arguments , otherwise you can say random stuff like Neymar is 10 times better than CR this season because PSG went through and Juventus is already out.

I think it's a good thing that users are criticizing Messi. It shows the incredibly high standard he is still held up to at age 33. Just think about how different arguments would be once Messi and CR7 are gone. Even Mbappe and Haaland are nowhere near as impressive as what those two put up on a day to day basis.

Sure--my views are biased. I place our club above any single player. I prefer players who are fighters rather than those who are defeatists. These are my biases and I am not hiding them. Hence my views, which might sound implausible to you from within the MessiGOAT bubble, but which most reasonable football (not Barca/Messi) fans are willing to grant. Reddit/Soccer is a good example of that.

I'm perfectly fine with Messi criticism. I criticized him like 1 month ago for that contract he has. But dude has legit been better than CR7 in CL since CR7 left RM (showing that both of them need a good team to win CL) and BarcaOG keeps finding ways to cartwheel for CR7 >> in every category. That's my problem.
