Lionel Messi - v7

Seems human, I was a huge R9 Fan and I watched him play everywhere because first we love football after all.

Some people try to make themselves look important on the internet by denying it and swimming against the current, when in reality that guy could have more Messi jerseys than the average FCB fan.

Yeah same, I even became a Barca fan because of Ronaldo. I was 7 when I heard that the best Brazilian player signed for Barcelona and without even knowing at that age where Barcelona even was on the map I started watching this team and I became a fan. I was upset and cried when he left for Inter not even understanding the politics surrounding the club at that time but i then started to root for Inter too because i was a fanboy.

Obviously, I was a Barca fan even before Messi set foot in Spain so couldn't care less about the new team Messi will play for but I could definitely understand fans who became fans of Barcelona during Messi's prime years because of him, trying to watch another team and root for it. I did it for Inter so i surely understand the sentiment.

Barca also fucked Messi financially. No club is going to pay him over 50M anymore.

Messi can't demand high wages since noone is going to pay him. Even Juventus wants to get rid of Ronaldo who only earns 37M

What planet are you on , Messi will never be fucked financially by anyone and never has been. The guy is making almost 2m euros a week. How much money does he need ? Psg will give in to his ridiculous demands and fall into the same trap Barca did.

This is what we mean when saying big names carry club marketing in recent years, it might seem silly but NASCAR tweeting about a soccer player isn't a random shit :

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We heard Messi needs a new day job. <a href="https://t.co/vbY7Z0OJu7">pic.twitter.com/vbY7Z0OJu7</a></p>— NASCAR (@NASCAR) <a href="https://twitter.com/NASCAR/status/1423388884180865024?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 5, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

It will be funny if Messi join PSG with Ramos in the team.

Just recently snubbed him in his toughest opponent of all time list.

how the fuck were we chasing the likes of Wijnaldum, Aguero and Depay when we didn't have money to renew Messi? was Laporta that stupid to not realize we had to get rid of players?

Maybe he was naive to think shipping unwanted players would be easy.

Of course they will why wouldn't they?

Messi will play a couple years for QSG. So these fans will give up Barca, a team then supposedly supported for many years, support QSG for a couple of years and then eff off to support another club? I am fine with such fickle fans not supporting Barca.

I don't know why anything related to Arsenal makes me laugh :

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Messi?s agent to Arsenal when they put in an offer : <a href="https://t.co/z9t1dLGXcf">pic.twitter.com/z9t1dLGXcf</a></p>— Michael Dapaah (@MichaelDapaah) <a href="https://twitter.com/MichaelDapaah/status/1423352526695550981?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 5, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

so far only rumours have been commented on, nothing concrete, just some "journalist" who wanted to be cool and make believe he has unique info
Now we know (in contrast to almost all the isider info) that Messi will leave.
Let's see what Laporta will say and what Messi will say (he hasn't said anything since last year, when he said he wanted to leave) so we can comment facts not twitters....

Too much overreaction here.
Sad to see him leave but the club has to move on. He brought great joy and alot of trophies but time waits for noone.
If anyone is too blame it's that cockroach Barto and his shit board. They destroyed the club.
We are going to be in the footballing wilderness for some time now but that's normal. All of the big clubs go through it. ALL OF THEM.
So, don't expect any serious challenge for the cl in the next 5-6 seasons. La Liga we should be competitive but there are no guarantees.
Dark days ahead but that's what all true football supporters go through.

i don't buy it. he had sources in the club before running for president and had a couple of months after winning to evaluate the situation.

we could have put all the unwanted players on the market since march. might have got rid of dembele before him getting injured.
