Lionel Messi - v7

Italy or France would be Messi's best bet. The pace is slower and less intense than the epl.
Inter or Psg. Pep wouldn't want a lazy Messi walking around. Inter or Psg would give him a free role where he could do what he wants.

Actually, Messi thrives more against English opponents, rather than Italians.

Highly doubt Manchester City will want to pay the kind of wages for a 34-year-old Messi. But if he wants to leave next summer, we should let him go. I hope we will accomplish something next season as a proper send-off for Messi.

I don't think it is true, but if Messi thinks he is somehow being targeted or blamed somehow he is full of himself. Everybody, perhaps with the exception of Abidal tried to put Messi on a pedestal and did their best to protect him. Faus even got fired for saying something true because of Messi . If he wants to leave, he should leave.

You don?t know what he goes throughout a daily basis or what he hears. You are just an outsider. Messi has been dealing with the Catalan media for almost 16 years. It would be understand about to be burn out and warned. He can?t go on forever, he?s probably had enough of this team.

But right now the worst players on the pitch are Suarez and Messi and he needs to be blamed for that.

What a load off bullshit, apart from Puig and Semedo he was barca's best player against Atletico.

Messi got those stats before the break.

he has 3 goals and 5 assists since the break, in 6 games, goalnumbers are not at his normal level, but 5 assists in 6 games is more then good

Every time things don't look good we get these rumors of him leaving but tbh at this point the thought isn't even as scary anymore. By the end of his contract he'll be 34, i'd say even without the shit thats going on right now it would be understandable to think about how he wants to end his career instead of just extending now.

Still don't believe he wants to go through all the hassle just for 1-2 years at another big club though. He could've had that years ago but stayed at Barca anyway.

If he wants to leave, he has earnt the right to leave when he wants. He would do well at psg with mbappe and neymar. Hell, he would do well with mbappe and neymar at Barca. It's tough when the next best attacking options are a washed up Suarez and a 17 year old fati

Maybe one more year left of the GOAT.

Sique Rodriguez is one of the best in the business and has close ties to the Messi family. Messi is reportedly tired of the situation in Barcelona and have stopped his renewal and is now planning to leave when his contract ends next year, according to him at least.

Apparently it's Manu Carreno's sources. Will be an interesting story to follow though and see if others will confirm it.

I think it's best all round. Stay for another year and break Pele's Santos record (even if it's just off penalties) and see out his deal and then move on to finish his career somewhere else. Maybe even somewhere where he might have a shot at another CL.

There's no point him signing a new deal. The club needs an extensive rebuild on and off the pitch that'll lead to a barren era similar to the early 2000s. He won't win another trophy here. Anfield was the end of the road for the Messi era.

You know the saddest part about all this? IF Messi leaves and slow as shit for brains busquets, Rakitic and Suarez stay behind. Add Alba and possibly pique to that list too. Everyone thinks Messi is above the club but no one ever questions why Suarez, busquets and rakitic havent been long booted already. Literally cringe everytime these nimptys get the ball.

True but I also have to admit he himself is wasting it by trying to be Xavi and Messi at the same time. He should be the one finishing goals. Of course, that's a problem of very poor midfield, offensively.

I think everyone at thay point will realize we need to move on. No way we keep those guys if Messi leaves. maybe Busi for the legend status.

Because of this "pressure" for immediate impact club splashed on Countihno, Griezmann and now getting Pjanic. Time has expired. We need to build a new team and Messi would complete his legacy by staying and leading the youngsters.

But thats what im trying to get across. Instead of buying wingers and attacking midfielders why havent we replaced these guys yet? Starting with Busi and Raki? Raki should've really be long gone since 2016.
If we had addressed these problems we might not be where we are right now. Or at least as a coach have some damn fucking balls to run your squad and bench these players.

Lauturo coming to Barca solves nothing as long as these players are still in the starting 11.

Griezmann should never have been bought. Coutinho was a hit an miss. Dembele was good yet forever injured.

Add these signings to the problems above and this is the shitfest we have at the moment.

The way around it forseeable future, the coach needs to have some fuking balls. Soon as FDJ is fit bench raki/Busi. Even Roberto was making more forward plays than Raki man.
Honestly braithwaite would be 100% better option than Suarez right now. Dude can actually touch an pass which is something suarez is lacking in badly atm.
