Lionel Messi - v7

Messi has more than earned the right to stay for as long as he wants, on whatever salary he wants while performing how he wants. Mods should probably look this thread for a while at this point. If Messi gets his first proper manager since Pep combined with several of the useless veterans leaving, some are going to look very stupid after what they said in the heat of the moment in here. Which I can assure you, it will be quoted and brought back to light again.

Most sensible thing i read in this thread in days.

That is about worst thing have read in days.

The club comes first end of story. That sort of statement is woeful.

Noone wants to give him away but the reality is he is a burden now. Huge salary, walks and destroys team shape and tactics.
Also our rebuild will take time. He doesn't have much left. He needs to leave and he can take his buddies with him.

This is why we are a soft club. Sentimental fans and board. Other clubs are more ruthless and successful. Bayern on the way to another treble and with Flick in charge they will probably add another Cl to their trophy cabinet next season.

He deserves to finish his barca career properly like Iniesta before him did, everything else in secondary as far as i'm concerned.

No he does not deserve the right to stay for as long as he wants on whatever salary he wants no matter how he performs.

As I said worst comment read yet.

If that is what he wants all more reason to send him off. In style of Iniesta or Xavi or bigger.

Yeah, let's keep pleasing Messi while the club goes down the toilet. This is what happened with the stupid board. Bent over backwards for Messi and see where we are.

Yea. Oh... my... how are we gonna replace x goals and y assists. The same fucking way all top teams do. Play more cohesive, run more, listen to the manager, train properly. The things Messi and most of the Amigos don't do anymore.

So our best performer currently and the man who brought us so much success, should be booted like he is any other player. And that makes us a soft club.

What makes us a soft club is fans that throw their toys out the pram and incompetent management from the board.

Thank you for proving his point again. Everyone that doesn't cut it anymore should leave or be eliminated from the rebuilding process. Messi fits that 100% because of the reasons which are known to all but his most ardent fans.

I'll list them again: doesn't run, doesn't defend, doesn't listen to instructions, needs the whole team to play for him, takes away too much money, protects the veterans and the status quo.

You're delusional if you believe thats what the board is doing.

If that was the case Griezmann would still be playing in Madrid for example and Neymar in Barcelona.
