This is the best chance for Atletico to actually win a major title for once, but knowing Simeone they'll play ten 1-1 games.

La Liga has already fallen behind.

The quality of mid to lower table is poor and worse than a lot of the leagues that get called out as shite.

EPL is going to grow and grow and other leagues like France and Germany have the better talent coming through, better structure and often the better coaches.

True. Spain needs to step up again.

Bartomeu destroyed Barca, Lim destroyed Valencia, Perez is better but not a prize either, Sevilla is about the same, dito Atletico with Simeone, Villarreal will be better, maybe. Bilbao will always be restricted by their policy of only Basque players and by the looks of it they have a mediocre generation at the moment, Betis is all over the place, buying has beens like Fekir and every former Barcelona player  the rest are unimportant.

As I see it, the clubs are being poorly run and that's the main reason for such a drop in quality of the league.

So he will be allowed to walk at the Etihad Stadium while his fat buddy will probably cash in on the bench. Do you guys know what City fans think of this?

If it was RM of 10-18, then 0 shot.

I actually think we have chances with a couple of decent signings (Donny, a LB). We probably won't be able to beat them H2H in Clasicos but those other games where they slip points...if we remain focused...

don't know how many of you can be so optimistic. the main problem here is that we are left with some players that suddenly have to produce or stay injury free. there was also no sensible squad building in place when messi was here.

ronaldinho left and we got some wonderful players + the rise of xaviesta + pep being a great manager. xavi left, iniesta left, but team actually had some good players still in their prime.

messi leaves and we are left with a weak defense. a dubious unproven midfield and some massive flops in attack.

next season will be so depressing ...

The most important thing is to bring the team back to a very competitive fitness state where everybody runs and does his part off the ball. If we do that, we will have enough individual quality to compete for all titles when the reconstruction will settle in.

that and also the fact there is no more south american talent coming to la liga, like before. back then you had good brazilians, argies, uruguayans etc.

May also be a good time to try out a more balanced culture of hard work and more modern approaches to the game like Pool and Bayern are showing rather than our superstar driven model, which has very high highs and some bitter lows.

This season was about as depressing as it gets.

Barca were horrendous, disjointed, old and had no leadership.

Would a front six of Pjanic, FDJ, Coutinho, Dembele, Trincao and Griezmann be worse than front six that lost to Bayern?

Barca will need time to adjust but I would rather watch those names as a group than Vidal, Suarez, Busi and Roberto.

The defence is a worry and needs addressed.

There are some promising Brazilian players, but Barca have not been able to get any of them. Were in for both Vinicius and Rodrygo.

Perhaps we'll snag up a couple of the next generation.

Real on a wrecking machine for any young Brazilian Barca linked with for a while.

At same time would you swap those three young Brazilians for Fati, Trnicao and Pedri when on lot cost around 35m and other a 100m more?
