Lionel Messi - v7

Something Messi might miss by going elsewhere is the Catalan press. He was absolutely protected from any criticism even after the repeated humiliations in the CL, it was either his team mates when "let him down" or the manager's fault or both but never his fault. No mention of his lack of leadership being the captain and being one of the first players to give up and stop trying in those games. If he goes to England the English press will treat him in very different way, probably even in the very opposite way, blaming him for every bad result even when he plays well. They probably will quickly start asking if he was always overrated if he doesn't perform as expected.

Barcelona will start with the training on monday. Will Messi part of it ?

No!! But won't be sold ( or left by then either), I can see this rumbling on for a while to come. No easy fixes when this type of money is at stake.

Not sure he will be playing with any team when the season restarts, probably be in the middle of a court case!!

Very true, english media is brutal and the worst out of all of the big European leagues. Their press doesn’t cut anyone slack

Liverpool’s wage structure is very impressive. Their highest salary is Salah at 10.4 million pounds.

Barcelona have 9 players making 12 million euros or more!! FDJ and Griezmann are on insane salaries.

Bartomeu is such a fucking moron. Just throwing money around in salaries. Sergei Roberto makes almost 10 million a year.

No wonder why no one wants to leave. No club can get even close to matching what our players make. :banghead:

1. Barcelona - ?438 million

2. Manchester United - ?332 million

3. Manchester City - ?315 million

4. Real Madrid - ?312 million

5. Liverpool - ?310 million

6. Bayern Munich - ?292 million

7. Paris Saint-Germain - ?290 million

Manchester City have overtaken Manchester United as the most valuable Premier League club, according to a new football finance study.

City are valued at ?2.364bn, up ?385m, while United are valued ?2.087bn, a drop of ?376m blamed on "higher wages and lower profit".

https://twitter.com/SwissRamble/status/1198182457570463744

In contrast, #MCFC commercial and match day revenue were both down, by ?5m (2%) to ?227m and ?2m (3%) to ?55m respectively. Wage bill shot up ?55m (20%) from ?260m to ?315m

But sure, you really believe that a club who is competing for the best players in the world and manage to keep them is paying HALF the bills of other top clubs. Can't stop laughing !

Even Bar?a has to pay through the nose but no, Manchester City is only paying 135 M. Wonder why they aren't making that much profit when their income is so high. Care to explain ?

Edit : i added another great source for you. UEFA itself !

Sure, it is the 2017 report but what can we see at page 76 ? Manchester City with a bill around 300 M? already. They really worked very hard to make it shrink to 135 !

Lol..none of them wanted to burn any bridges with him because they all know an interview or inside information on Messi is the goldmine.

True. There has to be other reasons to play for Barca too. Not just insane salary.

x 100.

There was a Barcelona before Messi (the one Cruyff, Maradona, R9, Romario, R10, Rivaldo joined) and there will be one after Messi.

Barca before Messi won 64 trophies in 105 years.
While Barca with Messi won 34 in 15years. Sure there will be another Messi
