Fucks sake this club is a conglomerate of pussies. We need to solve this by bringing back in the club people with spine and integrity.

What's the actual legal opinion on the contract? From my untrained eye it would appear Barca would probably win in court over the date vs Messi. I mean it was obvious before the supposed expiry date the season was going to be extended and Messi didn't show any intent then to clarify/extend it so you'd think Barca would win.

You?re out of your mind if you think that?s a realistic fee even during covid. If it?s 60 m+ KDB + Garcia + Jesus then sure
You are insane, no wonder people look at this club and fanbase as bunch of absolute brainlets. That is ~350M worth for player who has 2 years on this level + is on 9 months contract and has "indebted" club more then we could imagine in last 15 years

Barca/Barto has the upper hand when it comes to legal matters, but who knows how stubborn Messi and his legal team is? It could very well go to court if he feels like it’s unfair.

There's enough controversy with the contract to scare off any team from trying to sign him on a free. Which, if we didn't have idiots in charge, opens the door for a potential great deal, to help us in our rebuild project.

City buying him would heighten their marketing and advertising money to astronomical levels. This is the biggest sporting news in the world, being tweeted and spoken about more than any other athlete in any sport to leave a club. You are severely underestimating just how much clout Messi has. I wouldn’t be shocked if a quarter or more of our entire club revenue is due to Messi alone

The fuck is wrong with this board? Is 150m worth throwing away for having walking pissed off Messi for a trophyless year? Not to mention the chance of the rest of the amigos staying to fuck things up for Koeman.

They're selfish to the core. They'll jeopardize Barca if it means the departure of Messi gets shunted onto the next board.

Grade A cancer.

We have no idea if City would offer that, though. They are probably just seeing if they can get him for free at this stage

It's difficult to say. We have to look at the wording of the contract. Sometimes if the wording is not clear, court may judge by the intention of the clause.

I think this is what Messi's lawyer get their confidence. If the date is specified, it can be argued using the original intention. There is also that FIFA notice.
