Same here. Romantic in me wants him to stay and give us one more year with young squad surrounding him, with possibly playing an attractive football.

But the old soul is not naive anymore, so lets pursue the good deal but considering its barto who pulls the strings i dont give a fuck anymore

I'm beginning to think that this is just about money. I am hearing some ridiculous figures being thrown around and Messi just wants one last huge pay check. I doubt City win CL. Maybe Messi can win Balon Dor destroying the epl but the cl requires luck and a great TEAM.

Barcelona believe the only way Lionel Messi can legally leave for free is if he commits to not playing football next season. [espn]

So now they're saying he can leave for free but would forfeit his rights to play this season? Didn't they state he couldn't leave for free under no circumstances? But now he somehow is allowed to?

I honestly believe Bartomeu and his lawyers haven't got a clue what they're doing. I feel like Messi is going to take this to FIFA.... they'll give him a pass and we'll work out a fee later on.

Barca's own lawyers helped draft Messi's contract, same ones Barto proceeded to fire - pretty clear we continue to lack 'leadership', but apparently not an institutional problem :rolleyes:

I hope if Messi leaves it means more tickets can be bought by actual passionate barca fans and not the photo op trash you get there.
