Malcom

I know that he didn't play too much, but in two friendlies in a preseason, two La liga cameos and in a Cdr, he hasn't shown anything except a goal against Roma.

This is what Valverde said about Malcom after his friendly vs Roma: "He's a player that works well with our style, he's always looking to come inside. He's rapid and has a good shot on him. We're happy with how quickly he's adapting. We're seeing things which indicate he could offer something different during the season."

In La Liga he played 25 minutes. What is he supposed to show there?

I mean, you guys all believe in his abilities, based on:
1. Youtube highlights from a so-called farmer's league
2. His high pricetag
3. And his good skills and development on Fifa and Football manager

Lol, I remember you saying how you could see from photos how he was not a beta male like Dembele.

Granted, I haven't seen much of Malcom, but he strikes me much more as a winger type than Willian, who has played centrally quite a bit and in general looks like a harder worker than Malcom does. This would also make sense seeing how EV likes to play inside wingers such as Cout and now even Rafinha ahead of Dembouz and Malcom. So my best guess is still that it is a tactically reasoned omission and not a personally and vindictive reasoned one.

And just a disclaimer before you yell at me for either wanting Willian or supporting EV's choice: I do neither, but looking at it rationally, this does make sense.

Alot of his highlights is him cutting inside to score a golazo , go for a 1-2 or launch an inside cross. Regarding if he is a hardworker or not , maybe Bulgroz can answer that.

'Hes not good enough' how the hell can we tell if hes good enough when this coward of a manager leaves him out of the squad again and again? is it something he doesn't like in training?? if thats the case, why are the likes of Pique and Suarez undroppable despite them actually playing and starting matches in dogshit form? (answer: EV is a pussy and won't bench the seniors) and maybe its just me but after seeing how clueless he was during the Rome disaster, im not sure I'd trust him with any type of decisions, infact im not sure why hes even still here
He's here because the board's happy with his work and the results he's got. They for sure won't sack a successful manager because of 1 (one) poor match. Unfortunately, Barca struggling in the CL is not all Valverde.

why have Munir on the bench (a ST and a useless one at that) when Suarez barely ever comes off anyway? if Dembele starts playing bad, why not give Malcom a shot?????
Why have Cillessen on the bench when Ter Stegen barely ever comes off anyway?

All I have to say Malcom was amazing in pre-season, probably the best player but then dropped by EV.

Not sure what goes in training sessions but I believe my eyes and he was really good.

if the board are truly happy with his work, Barca is fucked for the near future. the CL fail is not all on EV, but 90% of it is. the fucking idiot took THAT long to make a sub and then.. *benny hill theme tune* Gomes!

GK position is alot different. one of Messi or Suarez will likely always be on the pitch the full 90 and either could play CF/ST with Dembele and Malcom on the wings

for all we know vidal is probably a better centerback than chumi but that doesn't change putting players in a position they are familiar with over just a name.

neither malcom or dembele can play striker...

its like asking why is chumi there but not malcom

Yeah, but Messi can, so if Suarez isn't there, Messi goes to the middle, and Malcom to RW. Simple and how it should be. There's really no need for Munir, since we have Coutinho-Suarez-Messi AND we need to give Dembele and Malcom enough minutes too. 5 players for 3 spots being more than enough, with 3 of them being wingers, and two of them being or at least being able to play (Messi) in the middle. It's not like Munir is a world beater in the striker role, far from it, so we might as well put Messi there so that he doesn't have to play RW all the time, which i imagine is only willing to do, when Suarez plays, so that he's playing in his best position. So it's a win-win.

😂 Valverde supporters are like Trump supporters.

Valverde had good things to say about Malcom after pre season and then completely froze him out. Valverde sends the wrong messages to players all the time.

Semedo was on a good run but as soon as Roberto was back from injury Semedo was dropped. Lmao at that idiot Valverde. He expects players to have no game time and the suddenly brings them in for 30 minutes and expects miracles.

TRAINING IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR MATCH MINUTES. Funny how people don't get it.

i'm talking in tomorrows games case.. messi is out so it's only logical to put munir in the bench as he is the only backup striker
i don't see the big fuss about it really.

Ev supporters are one of a kind. They will find every reason that contradict themselves and makes no sense whatsoever, instead of a simple reason that he is an inept manager not capable of nurturing talents.

If we dont do well in the CL, it's on the players fault, the squad is not good enough, we should sign another player for EV etc etc etc. Yet signing another goddamn player that will probably be on the bench or sacrificed for another talent because of unbenchable players.

Yet when we get good results once in a while, it's EV's credit and what a genius of a manager he is, not the squad.

Now Malcom is benched, reason is because we need a striker. Well, this is so damn fcking stupid because he plays players out of position all the time, be it Paco or Munir.

I bet if Munir had a good performance, their reason would be Munir impressed and earned himself the spot  If not it will be for some pseudo tactical reason, like able to defend, good at passing, all sorts of idiotic reasons like how they defended Gomes.

But then all this tactical reasons come tumbling down when EV fails to use all 3 of his subs and give them only 5-10 mins of play. I can bet Munir wont even get to play.
