Marco Verratti

Iniesta is well past his best and his legs are not what they used to be.

Dont agree the team were much worse without him and even if true it is more and indictment of the other midfielders than anything.

Iniesta does still start for national team and for that national team last euros against better teams looks past his best as he does with Barca.

A team that will build to cope with his lack of legs these days will still get a very good player but Barca already protect Messi lack of defending and with Iniesta it is too much to cope with.

Barcelona don't have any midfielders who come near Iniesta. That's the huge problem with Barcelona. All their other midfielders are average and that's why Barcelona is not on the same level without Iniesta. Do you even watch the games of the Spanish national team and Barcelona? Maybe you can't remember, then watch them again. Barcelona had problems without Iniesta because they lacked someone with vision, and who could read the game very well. Because of this problem the midfield couldn't control the game and their game was more give the ball as soon as possible to MSN. In some games it was even that worse thad they couldn't build up the attack starting from the back and the midfield was just bypassed.

If a player like Verratti comes then Iniesta can play without problems. Verratti has the defensive skills, he's not the same offensive midfielder than Iniesta. If Barcelona would buy a player like Coutinho instead, then it might become a problem.

Verratti and his agent are playing a risky game with that pic. PSG might be furious. He needs to remember that he has a contract until 2020. There is no release clause in France so no matter how you put it, in the end PSG need to show some good will for this transfer to happen. Not sure being aggressive with this is smart.

Moreover, Real, Bayern, Juve are interested. Even if there is a war declared between Verratti and Paris (i can't imagine it), Nasser can decide to sell him to Real.

Real bad move from Barca management. Not the first one. They have to understand that Paris S.G. IS NOT A NORMAL CLUB.

They are not a normal club, normal clubs don't lose from 4-0 leads :p

You're so entrenched in him not joining Barcelona. How are any of those clubs interested, and more importantly why would Verratti choose any of them over Barcelona? If he were to come to Barcelona we would be handing him the keys to our midfield, grab the wheel steer us as you like signore. He would immediately have vast protagonism. Why would he join Madrid with a stacked midfield, to fight for a spot amongst Kroos, Modric, Isco, Casemiro, etc.

Or Bayern, who aren't thin either in that department AND they just recently signed Tolisso to accompany their established midfield stars/and promising players.

That leaves Juve, except his agent just a few days ago said himself Juve didn't have the money to spend for him. Also why join Juve who just got dicked 4-1 by Madrid in the Final. I believe he wants a CL title, while having a guaranteed important role in one of the top tier clubs in the world and there's no better club to offer him that.

If he's smart and does end up leaving, it will not be to the mountains of Madrid, or another location, other than the coast of Barcelona. I hope he remembers to send you a souvenir, maybe boots of Spanish leather will do.

Yes this is the real Verratti. No, it is not photoshopped.

To be fair I think Verratti would walk into any lineup in the world, even Madrid or Bayern. Players of his quality are not looking for guaranteed spot in first XI because they know they are good enough to play everywhere. So the important question here is whether he wants to leave PSG only to join Barça (as Catalan media make it looks but we can't really believe them everything) or if he only wants to leave them. That's if he wants to leave at all and is not only looking for a new contract. Right now I believe a bit more that he actually wants to leave than I did a week or two ago but from here to him sign with us is still a very long road full of obstacles. PSG won't give up on him and I don't think this MD frontpage will help us. If anything it will make things even harder. Don't know whose idea this was (IF it's real) but don't think it was a good one.

I don't know if Juve has the money or not. But if its only between us and juve, i'm pretty sure he goes to juve, as its his chilhood club. Keep in mind juve is a top club, two cl final in 3 years is not a small feet, maybe he's the only part of the puzzle they need to win it.

Thanks. I almost forget about that song.
