That's what we think.
FFP has changed things. PSG can't simply go on buying players and increasing their wage bill. And it looks like they want to strengthen even more, which means they'll have to sell. We're talking of a club that paid 50 mio for Luiz.
Also, we were close to signing Silva from the same club before, but we had an issue with wages. So, its not like they'll never sell a player. And, it's a more sensible gamble as compared to going for someone like Pogba, who has always shined when he had the guidance of Pirlo.
Verratti and Marquinhos are the last ones PSG would sell.
And no, TS commenting on what salary he was offered had nothing to do with the final decision.
Al Thani said no. He would not have transfered.
I said it before but the qataris were clear as water on transfers, they are not like barca. They don't let players choose their fate. They are the ones deciding who is sold and who stays.
That's the same story every summer. Some of you are just in full wishful thinking mode thinking Barca can get what they want and when they want. That doesn't work like that with PSG.
That's the same for RM btw. No way PSG will sell verratti who's contract ends in 2019 to RM. And especially not for 40M euros.
And btw, french medias already asked Blanc and nasser if they would sell Verratti for 70M. Both said no, not even for 100M.
And as TornAndFrayed said, verratti himself repeatedly said many times that he wants to stay anyways. And french medias, who are well informed, way more than papers from spain, said that Verratti will actually be renewed before the end of september 2015.
