Marco Verratti

Why don't we offer 50 mio up front and add up to 70?

We have to try and get him, he's just as big as talent like Pogba, without being so overrated. We need a Xavi like player, not another box to box.

Because, for all intents and purposes, Paris doesn't need Barca's money.

That's what we think.
FFP has changed things. PSG can't simply go on buying players and increasing their wage bill. And it looks like they want to strengthen even more, which means they'll have to sell. We're talking of a club that paid 50 mio for Luiz.

Also, we were close to signing Silva from the same club before, but we had an issue with wages. So, its not like they'll never sell a player. And, it's a more sensible gamble as compared to going for someone like Pogba, who has always shined when he had the guidance of Pirlo.

nah PSG can easily hold on to Verratti as long as the player is fine with staying, and he is.
I don't think he will leave next year either, and in two years Ancelotti will be gone for sure from RM, so I see barça signing Verratti in 2016 or 2017, if by then he is open to leave.

Sure but if they want to strenghten, they can't sell players like Verratti. They ca still sell one of Cavani&Ibra plus Pastore, Matuidi, Lavezzi and have enough money from them to bring Di Maria, striker and one winger.

Verratti and Marquinhos are the last ones PSG would sell.

And no, TS commenting on what salary he was offered had nothing to do with the final decision.

Al Thani said no. He would not have transfered.

I said it before but the qataris were clear as water on transfers, they are not like barca. They don't let players choose their fate. They are the ones deciding who is sold and who stays.

That's the same story every summer. Some of you are just in full wishful thinking mode thinking Barca can get what they want and when they want. That doesn't work like that with PSG.

That's the same for RM btw. No way PSG will sell verratti who's contract ends in 2019 to RM. And especially not for 40M euros.

And btw, french medias already asked Blanc and nasser if they would sell Verratti for 70M. Both said no, not even for 100M.

And as TornAndFrayed said, verratti himself repeatedly said many times that he wants to stay anyways. And french medias, who are well informed, way more than papers from spain, said that Verratti will actually be renewed before the end of september 2015.

We'll probably have to buy Pogba and then do a swap with PSG lol. Only way I see they letting him go in the near future.

Le Parisien claims we offer 50M for Verratti

Here's more infos from Le_Parisien:

- Barcelona is openly flirting with Verratti. They decided to not hide their interest anymore.
- They want to offer at least 50M euros (they didn't offer anything yet, so as you see, you've got a mistranslation).
- They contacted PSG to discuss a transfer.
- Nasser sent them to die. He replied that PSG refuses to enter any type of negociations.
- Di Campli, verratti's agent, wants Verratti to earn way more than he's currently earning, whether at PSG or elsewhere.

Not if Veratti wants to come and Barca pay a decent fee. I think almost everyone here prefers him coming over us breaking the piggybank for Pogba.

Wishful thinking. PSG won't sell. Marquinhos wanted to join Barca last summer. Al Thani said no. We know how it ended. But people can continue dreaming if they want.

At least this summer, it won't happen, not even in Braida's wet dreams.

I saw him linked to Milan today in the less reliable corners of the Italian press, saying if the club is sold then the new owner wants to hire Ancelotti and buy Verratti. Sounds like BS though.
