Sun Xiang (No. 23) clearly dodged when Goetze took the shot, even his right hand did not touch the ball.

I am reading Chinese media reports, some of which are saying the ball did deflect off of Sun, some are saying it did not touch Sun at all. Sun himself has not commented on the matter.

The ball changes direction slightly after passing the defender, you can see the it's not moving consistently. He definitely touched it.

From that angle it doesn't look like it took a deflection. It's possible it didn't but it definitely had a bizarre swerve to it right after it passed the defender which is why a lot of us thought it did. Gotze is really starting to show his talent. I wonder if Low will have faith in him at the world cup.
