Danger Ahead
OMG what a hype about this kid, I have a feeling that in 2-3 years ppl will be writing something like "you remember that Norwegian kid what was his name again Mar... something, Martino was it? Where is he now?"
You said something about not throwing away your principles for landing a big star, big talent etc. Martin and Neymar are not comparable, but what you said didnt make any sense. So its ok to throw morals aside if its a proven star, but not otherwise? I dont get this.
That you can't doesn't mean others should not do it if they can while not crossing any lines.I am not saying he is a bad guy because he values money or something. I am just saying we, along with Bayern and many other clubs would not be able to offer him that kind of money that Real Madrid offered him.
This is ok based on what? Your moral values? Your view of football?Exactly. We threw money at Neymar not only because of his talent and what his brings, but because of his potential to be the future face of Barca, following the footsteps of Ronaldo, Ronaldiho, Messi etc. So in my opinion this is OK because he was a special case.
Well who is disputing that? The point was that when we signed Neymar, our board jumped through some pretty shady hoops to make it happen. Hoops that break with these supposed principles that bind Barca, as if making big money deals like this is somehow "beneath us".
The fact that Neymar was one of the biggest talents in the world didn't make what happened during his transfer okay does it?
Exactly. We threw money at Neymar not only because of his talent and what his brings, but because of his potential to be the future face of Barca, following the footsteps of Ronaldo, Ronaldiho, Messi etc. So in my opinion this is OK because he was a special case.

You know from my POV what's surrounding Neymar's transfer is infamous. Not the money, but what happened behind the scene. What could have been illegal. What could lead neymar's dad to the court.
RM didn't break any rules in offering him this salary, nor broke any laws.
If you ask me "based on my moral values", I prefer this Odegaard's transfer compared to that neymar's deal.
That you can't doesn't mean others should not do it if they can while not crossing any lines.
By crossing lines I mean RM doesn't break any rules or anything.
Kohe321 get ready for the crazy RM bias by the media here for the next years
He could get sidetracked by lots of things besides money in his lifetime.I don't care that Martin chose money. It's just that it's a lot of money per week and he could possibly get sidetracked.
You don't know what RM promised him, nor the different clauses in this contract if he doesn't get the promised playtime.
How can you say he refused better prospects if you don't know anything about what was offered to him. FFS.
Better prospect is not only about playtime right off the bat once he signs a pro contract.
