Mats Hummels

With him starting next to Pique we'd have a worrying lack of pace in the back. Unless Montoya plays and Alba sticks to his defensive duties as he has been we'll be in serious trouble.

It's BS not because Dortmund wouldn't sell. Every player has a price and Hummels is neither called Messi nor his club's called PSG.

It was Bild who were reporting the pre-deal
It was the AS a few days ago. Bild has always picked up Spanish sources and never said "Bild knows..". Dortmund have stated countless times, that no other important player besides Lewandowski and Gündogan wont be sold..Gündogan extended for 1 year, so it ll be just Lewandowski leaving.

Its no suprise though, that in all forums I read the same crap like "Dortmund is a selling club blabla they ll sell. The reality is, that Real tried for several players like Reus and Lewandowski last summer and Piszczek the summer before..who knows maybe they even tried for Hummels Gündogan. All big English clubs tried for Reus, Lewa, Hummels & Co., but all left behind with bloody noses, cos Dortmund dont need money they have generated tons of profits within the last years.

So dream on that players like Reus and Hummels r gettable, but u ll see that it wont happen..Dortmund are no selling club they just sell, when the players have just 1 year left of the contract, but even then, they refuse the money sometimes e.g. 25m Lewa last summer and now nothing.

Bild never quoted any Spanish source, they already reported the pre-deal several months ago and they've been spot on about Dortmund players leaving in the past, whether it was Götze or Lewandowski.

But, nevermind, I'll just quote you when one of them leaves.

When we bring up alot money, anything can happen.
I can guarentee you, that 30m€ isnt big money and I very much doubt, that Barca would offer more than 40m€. Even then I think Dortmund would refuse. They refused 50m€ for Reus last summer and Hummels is arguably more important for the stability of the team..he is their leader and has a top top character.

There are just 2 or 3 clubs who could temp him and Barca is definitely one of them. The time is not right though I think he ll leave 2015 or 2016, but definitely not this year. I am very sure of it.

Only way I can see Hummels coming is if the player indeed is set on transferring to the club or there is some Barcelona clause in his contract...otherwise, I fear he will be very difficult to pry away

It'll be interesting to see how the transfers go down considering Zubi hasn't been known to wrap deals up quickly...Apart from the pre-deals the board made with players in the past (And Ter Stegen, we can assume), most of our big deals took a lot of time to hammer out...They won't have that luxury this time around

The Bild spot on about Dortmund  Are you sure you know what you are talking about? They are clueless when it comes to Dortmund and they have never written, that the deal is done. I know all the reports and there was never the "Bild knows..." headline. Of course they wont ignore it, when Spanish or English media reporting that clubs are interested. Anyway u can believe the old Bild reports, but u ll see that Hummels is going nowhere.

Bild is spot on about Bayern, but even that has changed with Sammer and Guardiola in charge. The are driving in tunnel without lights ATM.

Yes quote me, but it wont happen and I m rarely wrong, when I am acting so confident.

I stated 2 recent examples where Bild were the first ones reporting the deals and you couldn't say anything to refute that. They were also the first ones reporting that Sahin will return to Dortmund. Think what you like but for me that's pretty spot on and it seems like you're the one who doesn't know what he's talking about.

This. Anything else is wishful thinking. Hummels extended his contract long-term without a buy-out clause and Dortmund impressively demonstrated with Lewa that they don't care about transfer fees either. It's also funny that people still presume Dortmund to be some sort of feeder club. Dortmund is financially safe and sound - unlike 95 % of the rest of the top clubs - and therefore don't *need* to sell anyone. If the transfer doesn't match Dortmunds' strategy it simply won't happen.

Could be a different story though if Dortmund actually find someone who could replace Mats without a significant loss of quality who at the same time fits their wage-structure. The chance of that happenin, well... not that likely.
