Me? More sleep? Are you actually aware what you've written?

Nothing wrong with that factual statement. The CB position, provided as I wrote that Umtiti will return soon and Todibo will get a chance and prove himself, is not our most pressing position to strengthen. Certainly not pressing enough to invest €80 million (at least) in MDL as talented as he is and regardless of me rating him or not which I do.

Offloading Rakitic, Suarez, Rafinha should be enough, why Coutinho?

Also, i think CF position should be a priority. Paying 100 mil for a CB....i don t think it s worth it.

Looks like we are after Rabiot as well. Coutinho won't have a place in the side in that case. Plus we need to offload him to make money for transfers of De ligt and wages of Rabiot

Stick to EPL and Dutch national team. La liga is beyond you

Umh?

So you do say that we don't need to strengthen our CB position?
Then why do you get mad when I say that you said that? :slap:

Our defense is horseshit, we need a new RB and a good CB to pair up with Umtiti.
Pique is in a terrible form for a while, he is not focused on football. I dont have high hopes that we see the old Pique ever again.
Umtiti + De Ligt is awesome. Pique + De Ligt is lesser, but decent for when Umtiti is injured. Pique + Lenglet is not Barca worthy, that's something for the Dortmunds or Sevilla's of this world.

Cule4life, u mad bruh?

Is it really that difficult to understand that this topic is not black and white but that it depends on several factors some of which (if not all of them) I mentioned in detail on page 56 and onwards.

How hard is it to understand that IF Umtiti is fit and won't have any long-term problems, if Todibo gets a chance as a replacement of Vermaelen from next season onwards and proves to be talented and neither Piqué nor Lenglet are sold, that signing a CB worth €80 million, should not be a priority?

Not mad but astonished at your lack of ability to deal in non extremes. Does everything have to be black and white with you?

How hard is it to understand that the viability of signing an expensive CB like De ligt depends on many factors like club finances, urgent needs for a LB and CF, Umititi's rehab, Todibo's development etc.?

But wait. If we buy De Ligt, what with Todibo?

Probably loaned out for a season, after that Pique or/and Umtiti (if his knee keeps having these problems) could be gone.

Would not be the best perspective for the kid but that's just how things can go at a big club.

Unless Umtiti can't come back or Pique leaves this summer, but i don't think that'll happen.

Don't think he'll be our priority.

Yeah, and Leo_Messi agrees with you. Which is fine and all, I mean it would be strange if you are not allowed to have an opinion hehe.

But in my opinion he should be our #1 priority, even over adding Frenkie (or another midfielder).
It's not that I dont respect your opinion, it's just hard for me to understand that opinion and that you don't see that our defence is by far our weakest line, especialy at the centre.

I would go as far as saying that our defence is Barca unworthy.
Pique (yes, I do respect his past achievements with Barca) and Lenglet are not first-11 material.
This means, we will always have 1 and possibly often have 2 Barca unworthy central defenders in our starting lineup.

What happened to Umtiti? Did he pass away overnight?:umtiti:  Or Todibo for that matter.

Look, hopefully you (finally) got my points and understand that the question of a new CB or not is not a matter of black or white.

I would love for us to buy MDL or Konaté or a similar player but I don't think that it should be the priority unless certain conditions are met first which I won't repeat again for the 100th time.

I rate MDL very highly as well. However there is a difference between that and your claims and the content of your posts in this thread. You are allowed to believe whatever you want to believe (if it was my forum) but sometimes moronic statements such as us having zero "top defenders" and your other extreme fanboyism, deserve a less fitting (in a perfect world) reply. Or when you are inventing stuff about users here and empty claims. No disrespect.

Umtiti? Did you read my post before the one you quote? lol.

Konaté is just another Mina, a defender that is not of the right skill level nor is the type of player that suits the Barca style.

Fanboyism, inventing stuff? That's funny coming from you. Oh well, let's agree to disagree

Aren't they really concerned about Umtiti's injury?

I read it could be extremely debilitating...

If there is such risks, can totally see Barça trying to sell him to get de Ligt.

If we do succumb to the Fat Rat and get De Ligt, it does mean we will have to offload a lot of players, FPP or not, which I don't see happening.

I think you guys have the most means to get him, along with City who I seriously wonder why there is such a need for him.

de Ligt wanted us when de Jong was supposed to come.

So, first choice is Barcelona, no question. I feel it will go like de Jong. Several teams will bid, when conditions will be met, he will chose his favorite among them.
In de Jong case we had vacant place. In de Ligt case, we have not unless TS is sold/injured (which is not likely). So he will have to rotate.
Those Dutch guys don't seem to rate Ligue 1 either, so i don't really see why he would end here.

I'll go as far as to say there is not a single chance he ends here.

Ajax and Railo will prolly use our interest to leverage a deal with Barca or Juventus.

Tell him we'll sign him if he drops Raiola.

Should cost less than de Jong, even though some rate him as the more valuable talent of the two.
