Well Semedo looked decent early on in the season, was in and out of team, and yeah, has been poor recently. But last season Roberto showed himself to be nowhere near good enough. And even this season he's been defensively suspect. He's better on the ball than Semedo, true, but I see nothing to be gained in dropping our potentially long term RB in favour of someone who's proven himself deficient over the course of an entire season. (at RB that is. As a squad player I like him.) We need to be thinking long term.
Long term the best RB plays and Semedo is getting plenty of chances to prove it and for me hasnt yet.
He will get more chances and needs to get a lot better.
