That is different from thinking selling Neymar for 222m will lead to team being improved.

That doesn't make sense. The most negative (I suppose you mean those who don't like Neymar and want him out) would be happy to see him leave, better yet we are getting 220m+. The ones who like him and don't want him to go tend to feel betrayed.

Well, if you manage to sign two great players for 220m. that can very well happen too. We're talking about more than twice the record transfer sum.

I somehow doubt Neymar reads BarcaForum though. From what I've seen, he's thought very well of by the local fans who even put Rakitic on a higher pedestal than most here did during his peak.

I don't really have access to other larger fan factions than this and the morons on Reddit and Twitter where the opinions on Nerman seem just as divided as here, so I can't really see why it would be a whole lot different elsewhere.
I honestly haven't bothered counting or doing the math on percentages, but going by this thread I'd imagine the number who would gladly offload Ney in favor of other players is a great deal higher than 10 guys out of the entire user base. Then again, I could of be wrong, as the shrill minority often yell the loudest.

Well, if you manage to sign two great players for 220m. that can very well happen.

More likely you have stronger team if sell other players to buy likes of Dembele than weakening the LW.

Is it really a large portion? I am really curious. I don't think it is even the case here, just that those who are against him tend to be more vocal than others. In other Barca forums and fan-spheres etc. that I have visited people generally like Neymar a lot and rate him highly. This forum is the only place where I see a contingent of fans wanting him out. Just my experience though.

You'll be surprised just how many Barca fans actually dislike Neymar. all of them it comes down to.

-His life style

-His style of play is Anti Barca

-His entourage

-Being greedy

-The typical football stereotype where Brazilians peak for a short time then decline due to poor lifestyles.

So, 22 versus 68 back then? That's a fair bit, and I'd imagine it would be much larger this summer due to a season where many people were heavily disappointed in him and the fact that we so direly need to spend big bucks in midfield. Close to 40/60 or even 50/50 would be my guess.
