Agree, getting rid of Coutinho who has no place in our team and replacing with Neymar for a difference of 100m is a great deal.

Basically paying back the amount received from Neymar's initial transfer 2 seasons ago? Not a great deal, far from it when you consider Neymar's value has declined since then and that PSG are in a position of having to sell and there only being one possible destination

That’s only if you value Coutinho at the 120m we bought him for, which is laughable right now.
No one wants him, doubt we could sell him for 80/90m now.

Also he’s easily worth 100m now, Barto managed to seal the deal before his heroics in the Champions League, we got a bargain.

If Coutinho was available for 70m there would be 6 clubs begging to sign him. He's a 90m player in this market imho. As a result I would like to see us offering no more than 80m, preferably 60m as Barca has all the cards here and PSG are truly up shit creek.
I really, really doubt that anybody would pay 90m for Coutinho. Who would it be? Nobody even took him on loan. Cant see anybody interested and I'm pretty sure we would have accepted 90m long ago if such bids exsiticed.

Very relevant. Your estimations are based on the fact that Neymar has lost value since we sold him. You can't say that without factoring in that Coutinho has lost value also. Nice try though.

Outlay equates to the same - money in equals money out in accounting. Coutinho's decreased current value now changes nothing on balance

you are saying how coutinho's price dropped but neymar costing around 200m is okay, just 22 m less then what barca got for him when he was younger, guy missed copa and all important matches for Brasil and PSG

Coutinho's sporting value for Barca is basically 0. He is arguably behind Sergi Roberto in the midfield pecking order and has no business being in the frontline with Messi, Suarez, Griezmann and Dembélé.
No one will buy Coutinho from Barca for anything more than 60 or 70 million at most. So 100 million + Coutinho is completely fair.
Not PSG's or Neymar's fault if Barca paid twice as much as Coutinho is really worth.

We should value Ney at between 150-170m. Remember he will drop his 26m case against us, which I believe he has a good chance of winning, so factoring that in we could snap him up for as little as 124m. This is probably another reason they want him so bad.
