Btw that what you said about the 16/17 season with Neymar.... we got 90 points and 28 wins that season but came 2nd, last season we got 87 points and 26 wins and won La Liga.............

I am reading it this way:
1. we have a crappy coach
2. 2 years older Messi
3. horrible Suarez
4. horrible Dembele
5. Rakitic

And we still managed to win only 3 points less than a mighty MSN in the last season.

Last 2 seasons of MSN:
91 and 90 points.
Two seasons WITHOUT Neymar:
93 and 87 points

181 points vs 180

Now, add to this that EV played with reserves in the last round of 2018 when we lost our record.
And in the last season, played 3 or 4 matches with Puig, Alena, Wague, Prinze and similar.
Lucho played all matches with a full team.

So, basically, a team without Neymar should have won 6-12 points more due to those matches with reserves.
And that means: a team WITHOUT Neymar won 2 La ligas and more points than a mighty MSN in their last 2 seasons.

Except 2015, there aren't any stats which are in favor of Ney how he has actually strengthened a team.
Brasil is winning more trophies without him.
Psg is equal with or without him.
Barca is winning more points without him.

But people will pull again: not everything can't be explained with numbers, or you need to use you eyes, lol.
Neymar is a player WHO LOOKS awesome.
When you look at him on a field, he looks as a gamechanger.
In reality, on larger samples, when you look at stats, wins and results, he is not a gamechanger, and all of his teams more or less play equally good with or without him. In fact, Barca and Brasil actually are winning more without him.

So:
1. on stats, he isn't a gamechanher
2. he will be forever injured
3. he will cost 250 Millions
4. he has betrayed us
5. he is slowing down the game and plays a type of a solo-one-man game
6. Alba will be ruined with him
7. Griezz won't play
8. Frenkie won't be our midfield brain since Ney will ruin all actions with solo actions
9. he will fight with everyone and spend 20 minutes per match on the ground, which means that we will have only 70 minutes per game to secure a win

Even for free, he is bringing so many off the field and TACTICAL problems.
And especially, 27 years old, injury prone with metatarsal bone and 250M transfer fee.

Deadly brain-eating virus, I am telling you.
Barto is also infected.

Jesus, you really cant compare point totals and make any fair judgements. Thats utterly ridiculous. Far too many variables.

Regarding cl success: having the best midfield is priority #1. We didnt have that in any Neymar season post 15.

I'll be pretty livid if we end up losing Semedo due to the fact he is far more useful for us while somehow having to keep Rakitic who at this point is far more expendable.

Yeah, we get Ney back who upgrades our attack while getting rid of Coutinho, at the expense of losing our RB, and at the same time keeping Rakitic. Yeah I get Semedo isn't perfect, but considering how dry the market is and being this late in the window with very little money to have, we will be forced to us Roberto and a very raw Wague to be our RB option.

This is coming from a guy who rates Wague, he just isn't quite ready to be thrown to the wolves just yet if Roberto gets injured.

Semedo should be off the table, as should any starters. You don't weaken a position to bring the snake back, on top of a lot of money.

At least stay consistent and call Rakitic horrible as well. Makes you seem biased otherwise.

what did you expect from a guy who said rakitic went MIA in less matches than messi

the irony is that he talks mad smack about neymar in the CL but you don't see him utter anyhting close to that regarding "Mr. Invisible"-in-the-CL (Rakitic)
