I'm going to keep going.
The huge issue I have with users like BBZ is they keep accentuating the flaws of players they dislike, contemporary players usually, and are capable of doing so because they're currently watching them and thus have the benefit of remembering their performances in more detail. They then use this to compare them to romanticized versions of their favorite players like Ronaldinho, which in my opinion is unfair. Like come on, how many times have we read shit like "Ronaldinho was so effective, Ronaldinho didn't like to showboat, Ronaldinho just went for the end product, Ronaldinho didn't fall over to fouls like Neymar etc" from BBZ?

Neymar is being described as a complete scrub to Ronaldinho. But once again, words are just words and videos are more effective.

THIS is the peak BBZ cited (2003-2007) earlier on in this thread. Do you seriously believe the Neymar of the past 7 years doesn't come close to this fucking performance? I see two good moves at best there, a great through ball and the assist. Other than that...fouled a lot...sometimes because of showboating...loses the ball...misplaced passes...

I'm not a hater. I don't care for Ronaldinho or Neymar at all at the moment. I'm just tired of seeing this fucking cliche of boomers constantly pitting modern players against this obvious fictional romanticized versions of the players they grew up idolizing. I'm just asking BBZ to have some self-awareness. That's fucking it.

I'll tell you this much right now, 1 player Ronaldinho is definitely not better than is Mbappe, he shits all over dembele though. Fo sho.

How many people here actually watched the 2002 world cup?..

2006 WC that Brazilian coach was off his rockers, he was still trying to build his team around a then well past it Ronaldo,I mean I can kinda understand why, because Ronaldo is Ronaldo, but at that time Ronaldinho was Ronaldo, the coach just couldn't accept it.

His freaking 4-2-2-2 was a joke as well, kaka, andriano, Ronaldo all played ahead of Ronaldinho, who was basically asked to be in effect be the xavi of the team, the person that cycles possession & keep the ball moving.

Its after that WC that it all fell apart from dinho,he was gutted, not his fault though, coach was an idiot, should have built the team around who was back then the best player in the world by a country mile, but Brazilians love Ronaldo too much, he just could see past him.

Mbappe is a better finisher, other than that Ronaldinho was way better. Dribbling, footwork, passing, long-distance golazos... Ronaldinho all the way.

What is relevant to the discussion is how they both played at Barca. We should only be comparing footage of only that. Maybe Brazil too. But dynamics of the Brazilian national team make it hard to accurately critique. What Neymar did in 15/16 is comparable but Ronaldinho did that week in week out from 2003-2007

Can't believe that people are seriously comparing this clown with a legend like Ronaldinho.

It's hilarious actually. I mean, my own fucking mother tuned in when me and my father watched Barca games just to watch Ronaldinho. And she hated football. How can you compare Ronnie with that duplicitious overrated snake is beyond me.
