Ibra never flopped really. He just clashed with Pep and refused to be apart of the MESSI system

Yeah, and the fact moving Messi to CF was the single most brilliant idea up to this very point of Pep/Tito really adds to your claim that we should have kept Ibra as cf.
yeah i pretty agree and if it was to play an 1.95 slow and classic center forward on the wing and knowing that he would propably fail we shouldnt buy him at all and also buy him for so many money and etoo too .....How do we know if moving Ibra to CF with Messi behind wouldn't have worked out better? Just because you find something works it doesn't mean that you shouldn't change it and that you suddenly stop being innovative, that is just extreme arrogance and laziness and perpetuates the logical fallacy that if something isn't broken then don't fix it. You have to keep on adapting your style and game otherwise it will eventually go stale and teams will figure out a way to stop it. Let's be honest here teams have started figuring out this false nine thing, last season and so far this season we have been inconsistent and well below par for a lot of games only pulling the rabbit out of the hat in the last 20 minutes. False nine worked better when it was used as a trick in the sleeve move and out greatest surprise but now it's excessive.
Nevertheless, I just don't think Ibra is meant to play at Barcelona. He doens't have the Barcelona-mentality.How do we know if moving Ibra to CF with Messi behind wouldn't have worked out better? PepDefinitely agree with this part. In fact we only grinded out results this season when we played Messi behind Sanchez. Osasuna (4-2-4), Spartak (3-4-3), Granada (3-4-3) ... The false 9 system is figured out by now. Pep introduced the 3-4-3 for a reason. Shame we don't have the defenders for it.
