Wonder what will happen to his confidence when he comes to Camp Nou with all his hype and bullshit Pele and co. have been feeding him only to realize Cuenca, Pedro and Tello are doing their jobs better.
It'll be Ibra v2.

Ibra never flopped really. He just clashed with Pep and refused to be apart of the MESSI system

I don't really blame him to be honest, we should really have played Ibra as CF with Messi behind him. You don't buy someone for 45million to make him play out of position. Pep is an awesome manager but he failed at man managing personalities like Ibra, its easier when just about everyone else at the club grew up with pictures of you on their wall.

Yeah, and the fact moving Messi to CF was the single most brilliant idea up to this very point of Pep/Tito really adds to your claim that we should have kept Ibra as cf.

How do we know if moving Ibra to CF with Messi behind wouldn't have worked out better? Just because you find something works it doesn't mean that you shouldn't change it and that you suddenly stop being innovative, that is just extreme arrogance and laziness and perpetuates the logical fallacy that if something isn't broken then don't fix it. You have to keep on adapting your style and game otherwise it will eventually go stale and teams will figure out a way to stop it. Let's be honest here teams have started figuring out this false nine thing, last season and so far this season we have been inconsistent and well below par for a lot of games only pulling the rabbit out of the hat in the last 20 minutes. False nine worked better when it was used as a trick in the sleeve move and out greatest surprise but now it's excessive.

yeah i pretty agree and if it was to play an 1.95 slow and classic center forward on the wing and knowing that he would propably fail we shouldnt buy him at all and also buy him for so many money and etoo too .....

Nevertheless, I just don't think Ibra is meant to play at Barcelona. He doens't have the Barcelona-mentality.

Moving Messi to CF worked. That's a fact.
What could have been, different systems.. are just speculation.

Ibra was/is a great player. Just not fit for our system.

Definitely agree with this part. In fact we only grinded out results this season when we played Messi behind Sanchez. Osasuna (4-2-4), Spartak (3-4-3), Granada (3-4-3) ... The false 9 system is figured out by now. Pep introduced the 3-4-3 for a reason. Shame we don't have the defenders for it.

Can anyone give me some logical reasons as to why Barca would sign Neymar? It seems completely pointless and a waste of money to me and I'm being 100 % serious.

There are so many attackers on this team, I really don't understand where he will fit in. There's Messi, Villa, Sanchez, Pedro, Tello, Cuenca, and even Cesc who can play in Messi's position too. Where could Neymar reasonably play?

Is he expected to sit on the bench and be part of a rotation? If so, is a rotation player really worth 60 mill?

No rotation. Neymar will be bought and expected to own the left wing. Basically Ronaldinho second coming. Suppose to give Messi breaks by attracting defenders (and fouls), he can also shoot from the outside if needed.

Doesn't make sense to buy him. Especially for 60 million. Fails to show up in the big games. Couldn't even perform against Mexico's under 21 side in the Olympics.

All that money could be used to buy some central defenders which we desperately need.
