Valencia are an unstable club with a volatile fan base. I'd rather go to a club like Betis, Celta or even Sevilla.

True, but I am more concerned about playing time. Valencia has their trouble, but even then it's a good club.

Similar drama club to Barcelona.. Drama runs deep in Spain.

Didn't watch them but I think they've mostly used 4-3-3 in preseason with Soler, Musah and Guillamon in midfield. They really don't have any depth behind them though besides Račić and unproven Mestalla kids.

So think they're probably looking to sign two more midfielders (or three if Soler leaves), they're also interested in our boy :arthur:

Interesting targets for Valencia. Hopefully they can sign few.

Here is their projected lineup for game against Girona this week.

Don't know what plans Gattuso has but Nico should get minutes competing against likes of Guilamon and Musah (if he can't then he really doesn't have a future here). Soler is the only fixed starter as long as he stays.

Very interested in what Samuel Lino will show this season as well. Had a good season at Gil Vicente, I think Atleti already guaranteed his signing months ago, made it official last month and then loaned him to Valencia.

Both Guillamon and Soler contracts expire next summer, not out of question they sell one of those in next 3 weeks.

Good luck but i have serious doubt.

Btw, if other coaches do this, Masia fans will call them a bum for neglecting young player. With Xavi it's fine.

Turn out Koeman actually was the coach that used young players most, crazy.

Loan to Valencia agreed. No purchase option. Only detail remaining is that the club want to increase his contract by a year before confirming the loan.

Good to see the kid has shown ambition.

Sure, in an ideal world you split the minutes 50/50 between Nico and Busi as Pep did when Busi broke through with Yaya.

But I guess Charvi Chaplin doesn't see Nico at that level and prefers the experience of Pjanic for this season instead.

Koeman has a great eye for talent, even if lacking in other areas as a manager. We're lucky the circumstances presented themselves for Gavi to get an opportunity so early and for Gavi himself to hit the ground running.

I don't think Xavi would have given him the shot had he not established him first.

Charvi Chaplin

To be fair this is a must win major tittles for Barca. So there is no time for developing young players.

Just feel funny that Xavi is not critcized for sending Masia players on loan while Koemand wanted to do the same but was bashed.

Nico Gonzalez joins Valencia on a 1-year loan. FC Barcelona will renew his contract as well. It's done. [Gerard Romero]

1 years is excellent, don't know what you guys want. Nico is not ready, and we're building a team to compete now. Situation has changed compared to 1-2 years ago.

Well, a week ago you were saying we should groom Busquets replacement from inside and Nico was the only candidate.

I think most like the deal, but Valancia being a mess is a concern

A 1-year loan move to any La Liga side outside top 4 will be a great move. If he stays, his career is 100% done like Puig's. By going on loan, he will still keep the hope of coming back and playing here in few years.

Just a reminder that until now, no youth player that was loaned out ever returned to thrive in the 1st team

I understand the need to move him but I would've preferred ridding ourselves of Pjanic

You're welcome
yeah he should be loaned 1-2 seasons. Still very young. And if Valencia is a mess he should not go there.
