The options that would either fit the profile or quality are:

Rafael Leao, Luis Diaz, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Anthony Gordon, Nico Williams and that's really it unless I've forgotten someone.

Either way there's no perfect player out there for us.

And if you are as delusional as I am then Musiala I would add too.
I would add Mitoma to that list. Enjoy watching him a lot, even though Brighton has looked like shit.

It would be incredible if one of the kids developed well and could fill in the LW rotation gap. It would allow us to focus on a 9 which is where we need a new starter the most next season.

It all depends on how much money we actually have. A few sales and we could very much bring in Nico for 60mil and a 9.

Let's be honest, Nico can be a fraud all season long and our Special Olympics Sporting Department will still go all in for him in the summer. They will just think that he has underwhelmed because he plays for Bilbao and will come here and immediately start scoring 20 goals a season.

They are not flexible or nuanced enough to change targets, even if an obvious one comes along. Very much set in their ways.

Personally, the LW options look unilaterally pathetic. The best option may be to continue with Raph for now and invest in a young South American option like Gabriel Mec.

Nah nico had a great season with bilboa last season and showed at the euros, that his game will improve when surrounded by better players.

Why are people even discussing this, for 60m he's a steal, can get no better LW for that kind of money, unless you find a diamond in the rough.

If it is about rotation and rest, do we need 60M+ level of player?

Could a player like Sane provide the needed depth while being on a much lower cost?

There's Lookman for Atalanta, he's solid and could fit.

Don't need to be a 60m+ level player, but they need to then sign someone who can potentially be one. Can be someone cheaper, but I would not sign Leroy Sane for two reasons. He'd ask for a high salary and he's an unserious player.

I don't believe in depth for the sake of depth. You need to sign players of quality even as depth, someone who can actually compete for a possible starting spot.

Sane would get high salary, but so is Nico (demanded high enough salary that Chelsea thought they can't afford him and Arsenal said they need to wait another year to be able to afford him) and surely Leao, Kvara & Gordon, probably all would demand a higher salary in addition to 60M+ for their clubs.

He is a Bayern level starter, so he is by no means a player "below" our level. He isn't the best to deal with, but the club worked with such characters before.

The money saved can help in getting depth in other positions, such as backup fullbacks, backup GK, CDM etc.

We should sing Mitoma.

Here you go.

Mitoma Magic

(Verse 1)*
From Japan to the Premier League, he's flying,
Kaoru Mitoma, no denying.
With every step, defenders keep trying,
But he’s too quick, there’s no use in fighting.

*(Pre-Chorus)*
On the wing, he’s lightning fast,
Leaving defenders in the past,
When he dribbles, you know it’s a blast,
Mitoma’s magic, he’s built to last.

*(Chorus)*
Mitoma, Mitoma, he’s got that flair,
Speeding down the left side, like he’s walking on air.
Mitoma, Mitoma, making defenders despair,
With every cut and turn, he’s beyond compare!

*(Verse 2)*
Studied the game like a master, so smart,
Every move he makes is a work of art.
Now BarcaForum says he's ready to shine,
In Barça’s colors, he’d be divine!

*(Pre-Chorus)*
Watch him glide, watch him soar,
He’s the player that you can’t ignore,
On the field, he's setting the score,
Mitoma's brilliance leaves you wanting more.

*(Chorus)*
Mitoma, Mitoma, he’s got that flair,
Speeding down the left side, like he’s walking on air.
Mitoma, Mitoma, making defenders despair,
With every cut and turn, he’s beyond compare!

*(Bridge)*
From Kawasaki to Brighton’s ground,
In every match, he's goal-bound.
Now Barça fans dream of his feet,
Mitoma in Blaugrana would be sweet!

*(Chorus)*
Mitoma, Mitoma, he’s got that flair,
Speeding down the left side, like he’s walking on air.
Mitoma, Mitoma, making defenders despair,
With every cut and turn, he’s beyond compare!

*(Outro)*
Mitoma, Mitoma, the crowd’s on their feet,
With every dazzling move, he’s turning up the heat!
Mitoma, Mitoma, unstoppable, elite,
Barça’s calling – will he complete the feat?

Isn't he like 48?

just realized that's his son

Looking at Sr. career don't even know why the name sounded familiar to me. Played his whole career in Mexico and had no caps.

Probably thought he's a love child of Gilberto Silva and Lucas Moura or smh.
